31 <br />CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 10-034 <br />RESOLUTION FOR APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />SILVER LAKE VILLAGE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) SIGN PLAN TO <br />ALLOW FOR THE MODIFICATION OF EXISTING GROUND SIGNS AND THE <br />ADDITION OF ONE DIRECTIONAL GROUND SIGN. <br />WHEREAS, a Public Hearing was scheduled with the Planning Commission for May <br />18, 2010 and commenced at 7:05 PM to consider approving an <br />amendment to the Silver Lake Village PUD Sign Plan as proposed by <br />Doran Companies; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants presented their request according to the requirements of <br />the City Code as found at Section 152.206 (B), REVISIONS AND/OR <br />CHANGES that states changes in uses, significant changes in location, <br />size, or height of structures, any rearrangement of lots, blocks, and <br />building tracts, changes in provision of common spaces and all other <br />changes to the approved final development plan may be made only after <br />a public hearing conducted by the Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, Staff provided as exhibits at the public hearing references regarding signs <br />in the Silver Lake Village center from the Northwest Quadrant <br />Redevelopment Plan and the Silver Lake Village Planned Unit <br />Development agreement and Sign Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants are required to provide evidence that discloses facts that <br />are unique to the subject property, to demonstrate a need to amend the <br />Silver Lake Village PUD Sign Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, based on the applicants' project description, Staff Report and testimony <br />given at the public hearing, the following Findings of Facts were <br />provided: <br />1. The Cub sign expansion is within the parameters as established by the <br />original sign plan in the Developer's PUD Agreement. The proposed <br />addition to the Cub sign increases the height of the sign to 26 feet, well <br />within the maximum height of 31 feet as stipulated at 8. Siusr a. Cub <br />Pylon, page 21. <br />2. The currently existing Cub sign is proposed to be modified by six feet to <br />allow the addition of other commercial tenants to this existing sign. No <br />proposals for modification are planned or submitted for the currently <br />existing Wal-Mart sign or the entrance signs at 39th Avenue and Silver <br />Lake Road. <br />
