The following is an estimate for our contractual assessment charge.
Our estimate of $42,900 reflects the cost structure for calendar year
2010 to complete your 2011 assessment. Inherent in this estimate is the cost of
revaluation to appraise 20% of the residential, commercial, industrial, apartment,
and vacant land parcels on an annual basis and any new construction additions.
The number of parcels and new construction additions for 2011 are based on the
counts as submitted from the 2010 assessment.
Our 2010 costs have been adjusted from the 2009 costs for several reasons, mainly
health care. Hennepin County employees did not receive cost of living adjustments
for 2010. We want to assure you that we are making every attempt to keep these
cost increases to a minimum, while still providing the best possible customer
service on setting and defending your assessed values.
If you have any questions or need more explanation, please feel free to contact me
or Bili Effertz at (612) 348-304.6.
S' cerely, I
1
James R. Atchison
Hennepin County Assessor
Enc.
Cc: Michael Mornson, Manager
