City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />December 14, 2010 <br />Page 6 <br />1 * Today was the bid opening for the 2011 Street Project. The bids will be presented at the <br />2 January 11, 2011 City Council meeting. <br />3 • Agenda of upcoming City Council meetings. <br />4 • The Tobacco Ordinance that is currently under a moratorium will likely be presented for <br />5 first reading in March, <br />6 • The Ramsey County Administrators Meeting included an update on home foreclosures. <br />7 St. Anthony is the city with the least amount of foreclosures in Ramsey and Hennepin <br />8 Counties. <br />9 <br />10 Councilmember Jenson reported on his attendance at the November 24, 2010 Kiwanis monthly <br />11 meeting and filling food packs at Feed My Starving Children on December 8, 2010. <br />12 <br />13 Councilmember Roth reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />14 . December 13, 2010 Park Commission meeting. ISD #282 Athletic Director Troy Urdahl <br />15 presented on the projects in Central Park they had hoped to receive grant money for <br />16 through Hennepin County. The grants were not approved, but there is optimism that they <br />17 will be approved in the future. <br />18 • Cable Commission meeting last week. CTV 15 will be moving from its present location <br />19 to a new location in Roseville. The agreement reached will result in a 25% savings to the <br />20 city on the rent from the amount budgeted when the process began three years ago. <br />21 <br />22 Councilmember Stille reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />23 • November 16, 2010 Planning Commission workshop meeting <br />24 • November 17, 2010 Metro Region of the Metro Cities meeting. There was discussion on <br />25 potential housing and the needs of seniors and baby boomers, and the demand for people <br />26 that want to stay in their own homes. As a city it is important keep vital aging as a goal. <br />27 • November 18, 2010 Family Services Collaborative Quarterly meeting <br />28 <br />29 Councilmember Gray reported on his attendance at the December 6, 2010 Sister City Annual <br />30 Meeting. The dancers that visited St. Anthony this summer gave glowing reviews of their visit <br />31 to city hall and commented on how clean and well kept the city is. <br />32 <br />33 Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the following events: <br />34 • November 30, 2010 Quarterly Work Session with the ISD 4282 School Board <br />35 • December 9, 2010 5'1' Annual Winter Parking Lot and Sandlot Maintenance Class at city <br />36 hall <br />37 • December 13, 2010 Regional Council of Mayors Meeting with City Manager Morrison, <br />38 There was discussion on the Brookings Institution Metropolitan Policy Program as a new <br />39 approach to metro growth and cities taking the lead in selling regions. <br />40 • Middle Mississippi Watershed Management Organization meeting today. The meeting <br />41 included a review of the Executive Director's performance. <br />42 <br />43 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />44 <br />45 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />46 are not on the regular agenda. <br />M <br />
