ANTHONY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 11-063 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />MOUNTAIN OF FIRE MIRACLES MINISTRY OF MINNESOTA, <br />2824 & 2828 ANTHONY LANE SOUTH <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Nnaemeka C. Uchegbu is the pastor of the Mountain of Fire Miracles <br />Ministry of Minnesota that is based in Houston, TX; and <br />WHEREAS, The Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministry of Minnesota is looking to <br />purchase the property at 2824 - 2828 Anthony Lane S property to use as an <br />assembly space for their members; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Tom Baker, KW Commercial contacted City Staff to apply for a <br />Conditional Use Permit (CUP) and scheduled a Concept Review before the <br />Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, A Public Hearing was held at the regularly scheduled October 18, 2011 <br />Planning Commission meeting, considering if the application received <br />from The Mountain of Fire Miracles Ministry of Minnesota for a <br />Conditional Use Permit as allowed at 152.142 (G) of the City's Zoning <br />Code; and <br />WHEREAS, No one appeared before the Planning Commission in opposition to the <br />application for the Conditional Use Permit for the Mountain of Fire <br />Miracles Ministry. Staff reported that they had received calls from one of <br />the tenants and a neighboring property owner, who was concerned about <br />their parking situation; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Baker indicated he had received no complaints regarding their parking <br />situation. He explained that there would be no more than 175 people at <br />any given time and their 70 parking spaces are adequate. Staff confirmed <br />that statement by counting the existing parking spaces and calculating the <br />minimum spaces required for the site according to the City Ordinance for <br />churches; and <br />WHEREAS, The Planning Commission found that the hours of operation were not <br />disruptive and parking for the members was sufficient; and <br />WHEREAS, The Planning Commission determined that the Mountain of Fire Miracles <br />Ministry of Minnesota's use of the subject location met the criteria as <br />specified in the City Code's Zoning Ordinance: <br />1. The requested conditional use is one of the Permitted <br />Conditional Uses specifically listed for the zoning district; <br />
