ANTHONY <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />NOVEMBER 27, 2012 <br />CALL TO ORDER. <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />ROLL. CALL. <br />Present: Mayor Faust; Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Stille, and Roth. <br />Absent: None. <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Fire Chief John Malenick, and City Engineer Todd <br />Hubmer. <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF'THE FOLLOWING <br />ITEMS. <br />I. APPROVAL OF NOVEMBER 27, 2012, CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City <br />Council Meeting Agenda of November 27, 2012. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />IL PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS. <br />A. Presentation of the Fire Prevention Poster Contest Winners. Fire Chief John Malenick <br />presenting. <br />Fire Chief Malenick thanked the City Council for the opportunity to honor four students from <br />Wilshire Park and St. Charles as part of the annual fire prevention program and introduced <br />Captain Chris Fuller, acting Fire Marshal, who directed this year's contest. <br />Captain Fuller stated the fire prevention poster contest has been ongoing for 18 years and this <br />year's theme was "Two Ways Out" to stress the importance of having two ways out of your home <br />in case of an emergency. He indicated the posters are judged by the fire fighters and this year's <br />contest included 250 posters. He congratulated the winners and presented certificates to 4°i place <br />winner Leah Everson, a 4°i grader from Wilshire Park; 3`d place winner Ella Nelson, a 5°' grader <br />from Wilshire Park; 2" d place winner Julia Temple, a 5°i grader from St. Charles; and I" place <br />winner Diya Hariharan, a 4°i grader from Wilshire Park. <br />Mayor Faust extended the City Council's congratulations to the poster contest winners and <br />thanked Fire Chief Malenick and Captain Fuller. <br />
