4 <br />City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />April 9, 2013 <br />Page 4 <br />1 important progress during 2012 that will help secure the City's outstanding quality of life into <br />2 the future and expressed thanks to the City Council for its ongoing support. <br />4 Mayor Faust expressed the City Council's thanks and appreciation to City Manager Casey and <br />5 all City staff for their dedicated efforts. <br />6 <br />7 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />8 <br />9 Councilmember Gray reported on his attendance at the April 4°i North Suburban <br />10 Communications Commission meeting where the Comcast franchise agreement was discussed. <br />11 <br />12 Councilmember Jenson reported on his attendance at the March 25°i St. Anthony Historical <br />13 Society meeting where it was reported that only 24 of the 1,000 St. Anthony history books <br />14 remain. He stated that the Historical Society has applied for a grant from the Minnesota <br />15 I Iistorical Society to digitize all the St. Anthony records dating back to the late 1800s. He also <br />16 reported on his attendance at the April 4°i Community Services meeting. <br />17 <br />18 Councilmember Roth - no report. <br />19 <br />20 Councilmember Stille — no report. <br />21 <br />22 Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the April 8"' Regional Council of Mayors meeting. <br />23 <br />24 City Manager Casey announced that the City is the proud recipient of a Safe Routes to School <br />25 planning grant that will put the City in a position to receive an implementation grant. IIe also <br />26 reported that the City received a grant from MWMO for a rain garden and storm water education <br />27 program at St. Charles. <br />28 <br />29 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />32 are not on the regular agenda. Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />33 <br />34 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS. <br />35 <br />36 Mayor Faust reminded residents that the week of April 15°i is Severe Weather Awareness week <br />37 and on Thursday, April 18"i, there will be a simulated tornado warning at 1:45 and 6:45 p.m. <br />38 <br />39 X.
