4 City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />May 14, 2013 <br />Page 4 <br />1 Councilmember Roth reported on his attendance at the April 30°i joint meeting with the School <br />2 Board followed by the City Council work session. He also reported on his attendance at the May <br />3 9"' Cable Communications Commission meeting in Councilmember Gray's absence. <br />4 <br />5 Councilmember Stille reported on his attendance at the April 30°i joint meeting with the School <br />6 Board followed by the City Council work session. He also reported on his attendance at the <br />7 City's cleanup day on May 4"i. <br />9 Councilmember Gray - no report. <br />10 <br />11 Councilmember Jenson reported on his attendance at the April 27°' annual Sister City <br />12 international conference in Shoreview. He stated the organization was started by President <br />13 Eisenhower and now includes 136 countries, 2,000 communities, and 600 U.S. cities. He added <br />14 the organization is currently working on bringing the 2022 World's Pair to Minnesota. He also <br />15 reported on his attendance at the April 30°i joint meeting with the School Board and referenced <br />16 an article in the April 28°i edition of USA Today that ranked St. Anthony Village I Iigh School as <br />17 the third best public school in the State. He also reported on his attendance at the April 30°i City <br />18 Council work session, the May I" District #282 task force meeting to discuss school funding in <br />19 2014 and beyond, and the City's annual cleanup day on May 4"'. ITe advised the Historical <br />20 Society is putting together a supplement regarding residents that served in WWII that will be <br />21 available for sale at Villagefest. <br />22 <br />23 Mayor Faust reported on his attendance at the April 24°i Green Step strategic planning meeting <br />24 to discuss next step for Green Step cities. He also reported on his attendance at the April 30°i <br />25 joint meeting with the School Board/City Council work session as well as the City's annual <br />26 cleanup day on May 4"i. Ile also reported on his attendance at the May 13°' Regional Council of <br />27 Mayors meeting and the May 101 MWMO Board meeting. <br />28 <br />29 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />32 are not on the regular agenda. Hearing none, Mayor Faust moved forward with the agenda. <br />33 <br />34 IX. INFORMATION AND ANNOUNCEMENTS - NONE. <br />35 <br />36 X.
