I. Fire Department <br />2013 Annual Report · Fire Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br />1 <br />The number one priority of any government is to provide for the safety of the public it serves. <br />Certainly, today’s Fire Department has evolved over time, and the Fire Department now does far <br />more than extinguish fires. The St. Anthony Fire Department presents this 2013 Annual Report to <br />share the accomplishments made during the past year, as well as to provide an accurate overview <br />of activities, training, and community outreach activities. With this report, you will find numerous <br />measures of how the Fire Department performs its diverse duties to the public. <br />The St. Anthony Fire Department is a combination paid on-call and full-time department working out <br />of one station. To provide an immediate response, 24-hours a day, the department is made up of <br />seven full-time personnel and 22 paid on-call personnel. The Fire Department provides fire suppression, <br />emergency response at the EMT level and hazardous materials response at the operations level. The <br />Fire Department also provides code inspection and enforcement, fire prevention and education, <br />administers the City’s disaster response programs and the City Code Enforcement program. <br />St. Anthony Fire apparatus’s consist of two 1250 GPM pumpers, a 1500 pumper, a step van, a <br />rescue response truck and a staff automobile for administrative response use. Specialized equipment <br />includes automatic defibrillators, lucas 2 device, hydraulic rescue tools (jaws of life) and a mobile air <br />cascade system. <br /> <br />I.
