Responses <br />Each year the Fire Department response to numerous calls including fires, medical <br />emergencies, automobile accidents and providing mutual aid to other communities. In <br />2013, the Fire Department responded to 1,409 calls, which is 142 more calls than 2012 <br />and the highest amount of calls in the past 6 years. A summary of the past 6 years is <br />included below: <br />A breakdown of the 1,409 calls includes responses for fires, hazardous conditions, service calls, good intent <br />calls, false alarms, weather related calls, and medical calls. In 2013 medical calls made up the majority of <br />responses. Service calls were the second highest call rate.
