Department Divisions <br />2013 Annual Report · Publc Works Department · St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br />3 <br />VEHICLE MAINTENANCE DIVISION <br />The Vehicle Maintenance Division (Fleet Maintenance) provides <br />the necessary vehicle maintenance and repair to all the City’s <br />Public Works vehicles and equipment, which includes both <br />licensed and non-licensed equipment. In addition, this Division <br />supports the Police and Fire Department with their maintenance <br />needs. The City’s existing Vehicle Maintenance Division staff <br />is trained and licensed to certify all vehicles in the fleet meet <br />DOT standards and pass inspections on an annual basis. <br />In addition, the Vehicle Maintenance Division assists in the <br />purchase and specification process when replacing capital <br />equipment for the Public Works Department. It has always <br />been the goal of this Division to provide the necessary service <br />and repair of all city owned equipment in a manner which is <br />competitive with outside service alternatives. <br />In 2013, highlights of the scheduled public works capital <br />equipment purchases included: <br />• 2013 Case 590 Backhoe <br />• 2013 Flatbed Utility Truck <br />• Toro 360 – dual purpose for summer and winter use <br />CITY BUILDING DIVISION <br />The City Buildings Division provides the necessary <br />maintenance and repare to all the City’s buildings. <br />Projects included: <br />• City Hall administration area improvement project <br />• Police Department improvement project <br />• City wide routine building maintenance
