City of Falcon Heights <br />• City Council Minutes <br />October 25, 2000 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gehrz at 7:02 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Gehrz, Kuettel, Talbot. Also present: Heather Worthington, City Administrator, <br />Pat Phillips, Deputy Clerk <br />ABSENT: Hustad, Lindstrom <br />COMMUNITY FORUM: There was no one present wishing to speak <br />MINiJTES: The minutes of October 11, 2000 were approved. <br />Councilmember Kuettel moved to approve the following consent agenda. The motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. General disbursements and payroll <br />2. Licenses <br />• POLICY AGENDA <br />Consideration of Resolution 00-23 continuing_participation in the Local Housing Incentives Account <br />Program under the Metropolitan Livable Communities Act <br />Administrator Worthington explained that a municipality's participation is required if it wants to apply <br />for loans or grants thereby encouraging affordable housing through financial incentives. After brief <br />discussion, councilmember Kuettel moved to approve Resolution 00-23 noting a correction in the last <br />paragraph. The motion passed unanimously. <br />Consideration of Resolution 00-22 appointing a~practices compliance officer <br />Administrator Worthington said the state is requiring municipalities to appoint one employee to act as <br />its data practices compliance official. That employee will receive questions or concerns regarding <br />problems in obtaining access to public data or other data practices issues. Councilmember Talbot <br />moved to approve Resolution 00-22 appointing Heather Worthington to act as that official. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Purchase and installation of new playground equipment for Grove Park <br />Administrator Worthington said the playground equipment at Grove Park was outdated and made of <br />• wood which is difficult to maintain. Staff is requesting approval of $20,798.93 to purchase and install <br />
