City of Falcon Heights <br />City Council Minutes <br />January 5, 2000 <br />Mayor Gehrz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />PRESENT: Gehrz, Hustad, Kuettel, Lindstrom, Talbot <br />Also present: Susan Hoyt, city administrator, Pat Phillips, deputy clerk <br />COMMUNITY FORUM: There was no one present to speak. <br />NIlIVUTES: The minutes of December 15, 1999 were approved <br />OATH OF OFFICE: <br />Administrator Hoyt administered the oath of office to recently re-elected Mayor Gehrz. <br />Mayor Gehrz administered the oath of office to newly elected councilmembers Peter <br />Lindstrom and Richard Talbot. <br />CONSENT AGENDA: <br />• Councilmember Peter Lindstrom moved approval of the consent agenda. The motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />1. General disbursements and licenses <br />2. Licenses <br />3. Resolution designating official depositories for 2000 <br />4. Designation of official newspaper <br />5. Appointment of City Engineer and City Attorneys for 2000 <br />6. Review council standing rules <br />7. Appointments to commissions <br />POLICY AGENDA <br />Mayor Gehrz indicated Item No. 2 of the policy agenda would be removed as <br />Administrator Hoyt said the new employee was unable to attend the council meeting due <br />to another commitment. Another item was added to the policy agenda as an addendum. <br />Recognition of Kris Grangaard for Y2K community leadership <br />Mayor Gehrz expressed the city's appreciation to Kris Grangaard for her many hours of <br />volunteer service in connection with preparing the city for this event. Mayor Gehrz said <br />Kris offered her time and energy in assisting with the preparation which included <br /> <br />
