e7 .c <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 2 2 , 19 9 2 <br />Baldwin convened the meeting at 7:00 P.M. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />Baldwin administered the oath of office to re-elected <br />Councilmember Sam Jacobs. <br />ALL MEMBERS PRESENT <br />Baldwin, Ciernia, Gehrz, Gibson Talbot and Jacobs. Also present <br />were Chenoweth, Gedde and Hoyt. <br />MINUTES OF 1/8/92 APPROVED <br />Council approved the Minutes of January 8, 1992 by unanimous <br />consent. <br />ITEM MOVED FROM CONSENT AGENDA TO POLICY AGENDA <br />Gehrz requested that the Consent Agenda item regarding purchase <br />of a stove for city hall, be moved to the Policy Agenda for <br />discussion. Council concurred. <br />CONSENT AGENDA APPROVED <br />Council approved the following Consent Agenda by unanimous <br />consent: <br />1. Disbursements: <br />a. General Disbursements through 1/16/92, $230,885.33 <br />b. Payroll, 1/1/92 - 1/15/92, $11,043.76 <br />2. Licenses <br />3. Reappointment of Edward Sheppard to Human Rights <br />Commission, term to Expire 12/31/94 <br />"CROSS TRAFFIC DOES NOT STOP" SIGNS TO BE INSTALLED AT GARDEN <br />AND THE WEST SNELLING SERVICE ROAD <br />Hoyt explained that complaints have been received regarding a <br />possible safety hazard at the intersection of Garden Avenue and <br />the west Snelling frontage road due to motorists failing to obey <br />the stop signs on the service road. The city engineer has <br />determined that putting "Cross Traffic Does Not Stop" signs on <br />the existing stop signs on the frontage road may help abate the <br />problem. Following a brief discussion Council unanimously <br />agreed to the signage. <br />
