<br />1 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 27, 1982 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Warkentien. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Eggert, Larson and Chestovich. Also <br />present were Clerk Administrator Barnes, Attorney Swanson and Engineer <br />Lemberg. <br />Councilmember Ciernia. <br />Engineer Lemberg and Architect Shea presented for Council's review and <br />comments samples of materials selected for use in the new Community <br />Building. After some discussion Council approved selections of brick, <br />carpeting, floor the and wall coverings. <br />The following new business was added to the agenda: (1) Recreation <br />Committee appointments, (2) Authorization of police car purchase, and <br />(3) Consider a resolution opposing the proposed Ramsey County Hotel/ <br />Motel Tax Bill. <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson, that the <br />Consent Agenda be approved as presented. APPROVED <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Chestovich, that MINUTES OF <br />the Minutes of January 13, 1982 be approved as presented. Motion carried 1/13/82 <br />unanimously. APPROVED <br />Mayor Warkentien presented a proposed ordinance amending Ordinance X171 <br />increasing parking violation fines from $15.00 to $25.00. Council dis- <br />cussed whether or not the $25.OOfine might not be overly excessive and <br />a hardship on residents. Clerk Administrator Barnes explained that the <br />court had requested the increase in order that the Falcon Heights fines <br />would be uniform with the others in the Ramsey County. Based on that <br />information Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, <br />that Ordinance ~~187 be adopted.
