<br />1 <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />r~AY 9, 1979 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to <br />order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers McGough, Kurpiewski, Steele and Brown. <br />Also present were Clerk Administratox• Barnes, Attorney Kenefick and <br />Engineer Lemberg. <br />None. <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember i~cGough that the <br />Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Upon a vote being taken the <br />following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmernbers McGough, <br />Kurpiewski and i3rotim, and the following voted "nay": None. Planning Commission Minutes of Inlay 7, 1979 <br />John Labalestra, a member of the Job Corps Ad Hoc Committee, presented to <br />Council an update on +.,he Job Corps situation. rir. Labalestra. feels the <br />committee is helpful and will give citizen input if the Job Corps is <br />located on the Both el College site. <br />Council.rnesnber Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember Kurpiewski, that <br />the Minutes of April 17, 1979 we approved as presented. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Councilmernbor McGough presented a request .for variance from Laverne I. <br />Olsen, 1784 N. Pascal to construct a garage 2 f eet from the property line, <br />and a request for variance from I~.ichard Sheehy, 1790 N. Pascal, to con- <br />struct a garage 1 foot from the property lino. 't'hese two residents shared <br />a cornrnon garage and this winter the heavy snow load caused the roof to <br />collapse. Rather than share a garage, each homeowner wishes to build his <br />own garage and the variance are needed for this purpos©. Pascal, to construct a garage 2 <br />feet from the property lino and a variance to Richard Sheehy, 1790 N. Pascal, <br />to construct a garage 1 foot from the property line. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />
