MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />JANUARY 23, 1980 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to <br />order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. <br />i~ <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson. <br />Also present was Clerk Administrator Barnes. <br />None. <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert that <br />the Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br />1. Fire & Rescue Reports 400180 - ~~00280 <br />2. General Payroll 1/1/80 - 1/15/80 $ 3,895.25 <br />3. Liquor Payroll 1/1/80 - 1/15/80 $ 2,326.91 <br />4. General Disbursements 1/1/80 - 1/23/80 $28,429.27 <br />Sinking Fund $ 7,841.50 <br />5. Liquor .Disbursements 1/4/80 - 1/21/80 $28,692.99 <br />Sinking Fund $ 2,263.75 <br />6. Ramsey County Sheriff's Department Report, December, 1979 <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that the <br />Minutes of January 8, 1980 be approved as written. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />~/ <br />PRESENT <br />ABSENT <br />CONSENT.AGENDA <br />APPROVED <br />MINUTES OF JAN. <br />8, 1980 APPROVED <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson that the MINUTES OF JAN. <br />Minutes of the Special Council-Planning Commission Meeting of January 14, 1980 APPROVED <br />14, 1980 be approved as presented. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Frank Paskewitz, 2120 W. Hoyt, representing residents in that area, <br />presented to Council a petition •f or "No Parking 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., <br />weekdays" on the north side of Hoyt from Folwell to Coffman. Mr. <br />Paskewitz stated that due to cars parked on the street, the snow <br />plow cannot completely clean the street, thus narrowing the driving <br />area of the street to one lane, making it difficult for buses and <br />emergency vehicles to drive through. After some discussion Council- <br />member Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that the request <br />be granted and that the Clerk Administrator be authorized to place <br />"No Parking 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Weekdays" on the north side of Hoyt <br />from Folwell to Coffman. Motion carried unanimously. <br />NO PARKING ON <br />NORTH SIDE OF <br />HOYT FROM FOLWELL <br />TO COFFMAN (8 AM <br />TO 4PM WEEKDAYS) <br /> <br />Mrs. Kurt Bjorklund, 1511 W. Larpenteur, addressed Council re- NO TRUCK PARKING <br />questing that the "No Truck Parking" signs on the east side of Arona ON ARONA DIS- <br />from Larpenteur to Crawford stipulate weight limits in order to re- CUSSION <br />strict large commercial trucks and allow parking of pickups owned <br />by residents. <br />Councilmember Steele informed Mrs. Bjorklund that he felt weight <br />limits would only lead to confusion and since the original intent <br />
