MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />FEBRUARY 13, 1980 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to <br />order by Acting Mayor Brown at 7:30 p.m. <br />Acting Mayor Brown, Councilmembers Eggert and Larson. Also present <br />were Clerk Administrator Barnes and Attorney Van De North. Council- <br />member Steele arrived at 7:40 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien was absent due to his recent hospitilization. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Councilmember Eggert that <br />the Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Motion carried unani- <br />mously. <br />1. Fire and Rescue Reports ~~00380 - ~~01180 <br />2. General Payroll 1/16/31 - 1/31/80 $ 4,521.74 <br />3. Liquor Payroll 1/16/31 - 1/31/80 $ 1,864.02 <br />4. General Disbursements 1/24/80 - 2/31/80 $44,765.89 <br />5. Liquor Disbursements 1/21/80 - 2/10/80 $30,005.47 <br />6. Building Inspector's Report - January, 1980 <br />i~ <br />u <br />7. Liquor Store Financeial Report - Year Ending 12/31/79 <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Acting Mayor Brown that the <br />minutes of January 23, 1980 be approved as presented. Motion carried <br />unanimously. <br />Councilmember Larson moved, seconded by Acting Mayor Brown that the <br />Minutes of the Special City Council-Planning Commmission Meeting of <br />February 7, 1980 be approved as presented. Motion carried uanimously. <br />Councilmember Steele arrives. <br />Acting Mayor Brown presented a`~letter from Kurt Bjorklund, 1511 W. <br />Larpenteur, requesting a change in the "No Truck Parking" signs <br />on Arona north of Larpenteur to Crawford to allow pickup trucks <br />to park in that area. After some discussion Council agreed the <br />signs should remain as they are and directed Clerk Administrator <br />Barnes to inform Mr. Bjorklund of their decision. <br />Councilmember Larson informed Council that Howard Dahlgren and Assoc. <br />had not been. contacted regarding the preparation of the Comprehensive <br />Plan for the City. However, Councilmember Larson and Clerk Administrator <br />Barnes had consulted with a resident of Falcon Heights who is an in- <br />dependent planner. This planner estimated the cost of completing the <br />plan should be no more than $6,000., and that 5 months should be ample <br />time for completion. (Mr. Dahlgren had quoted a fee of $15,000 and <br />indicated completion would take at least 1 year.)
