MINUTES ~,~, <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />APRIL 9, 1980 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson. Also PRESENT <br />present were Clerk Administrator Barnes and Engineer Lemberg. <br />None. <br />ABSENT <br />Councilmember Brown moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson that the Consent CONSENT <br />Agenda be approved as presented. Larpenteur <br />Falcon Heights, MN <br />Dr. David French, City Horticulturist and Mark Stennes, City Tree Inspector, 1980 TREE <br />were in attendance to present plans for the 1980 Tree Planting and Dutch PLANTING & <br />Elm Disease Program. Dr. French informed Council that all is prepared for DUTCH ELM <br />the sprit~gplanting program except for sugar maples which are unobtainable. DISEASE <br />Mark. Stennes informed Council that the tree losses from Dutch Elm Disease <br />in the past three years were as follows: 1977 - 532 trees, 1978 - 173 trees <br />and 1979 73 trees lost. He feels that the marked reduction indicates that <br />the program is successful. He also requested that he be able to give diseased <br />tree notices to residents personally in order to expedite the removal of dis- <br />eased trees and prevent spreading of the disease.
