r <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />SEPTEMBER 10, 1980 <br />_ ~V <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson. Also PRESENT <br />present were Clerk Administrator Barnes and Engineer Lemberg. <br />None. <br />Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that the <br />Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Planning Commission Minutes of September 8, 1980 <br />ABSENT <br />CONSENT AGENT <br />APPROVED <br />Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson that the MINUTES OF <br />Minutes of August 27, 1980 be approved as corrected. Upon a vote being AUGUST 27, <br />taken the following voted "aye": Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert 1980 APPROVEL <br />and Larson, and the following voted "nay": None. Mayor Warkentien <br />abstained, Motion carried. (The Mayor was absent August 27, 1980.) <br />Attorney Kenefick presented to Council a proposed Swimming Pool Ordi- PROPOSED <br />Hance, which he had drafted at Council's request. He explained the SWIl~4IING POOL <br />ordinance and then recommended that Council thoroughly review it, and ORDINANCE <br />also that it be presented to the Planning Commission for comments. The DEFERRED TO <br />matter was deferred to the October 8, 1980 Meeting. 10/8/80 <br />Mayor Warkentien presented a variance request from Daniel Iverson, VARIANCE <br />1829 Simpson, to build a garage 3 feet from the side lot line. Council- REQUEST <br />member Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson that the request D. IVERSON <br />be granted. Motion carried unanimously. 1829 SIMPSON <br />John Welsch, 1915 Arona, was in attendance to request approval of his SWIMMING POOL. <br />application for a swimming pool permit. Councilmember Larson informed PERMIT GRANT- <br />Council that the Planning Commission had reviewed the matter and re- ED TO JOHN <br />commended that the permit be granted. Councilmember Larson moved, WELSCH, 1915 <br />seconded by Councilmember Steele that the permit be granted. Motion ARONA <br />carried unanimously. <br />Councilmember Larson explained that the Planning Commission has re- VARIANCE <br />commended approval of a variance request from Arthur Kato, 1859 Holton, REQUEST <br />to expand his present garage to a double garage which would be 2 feet ARTHUR KATO <br />from .the lot line. Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Council- 1859 HOLTON <br />member Larson that the variance be granted. Motion carried unanimously. <br />
