r MINUTES REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER 10, 1980 _ ~V A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Warkentien, Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert and Larson. Also PRESENT present were Clerk Administrator Barnes and Engineer Lemberg. None. Councilmember Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Brown that the Consent Agenda be approved as presented. Planning Commission Minutes of September 8, 1980 ABSENT CONSENT AGENT APPROVED Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson that the MINUTES OF Minutes of August 27, 1980 be approved as corrected. Upon a vote being AUGUST 27, taken the following voted "aye": Councilmembers Steele, Brown, Eggert 1980 APPROVEL and Larson, and the following voted "nay": None. Mayor Warkentien abstained, Motion carried. (The Mayor was absent August 27, 1980.) Attorney Kenefick presented to Council a proposed Swimming Pool Ordi- PROPOSED Hance, which he had drafted at Council's request. He explained the SWIl~4IING POOL ordinance and then recommended that Council thoroughly review it, and ORDINANCE also that it be presented to the Planning Commission for comments. The DEFERRED TO matter was deferred to the October 8, 1980 Meeting. 10/8/80 Mayor Warkentien presented a variance request from Daniel Iverson, VARIANCE 1829 Simpson, to build a garage 3 feet from the side lot line. Council- REQUEST member Eggert moved, seconded by Councilmember Larson that the request D. IVERSON be granted. Motion carried unanimously. 1829 SIMPSON John Welsch, 1915 Arona, was in attendance to request approval of his SWIMMING POOL. application for a swimming pool permit. Councilmember Larson informed PERMIT GRANT- Council that the Planning Commission had reviewed the matter and re- ED TO JOHN commended that the permit be granted. Councilmember Larson moved, WELSCH, 1915 seconded by Councilmember Steele that the permit be granted. Motion ARONA carried unanimously. Councilmember Larson explained that the Planning Commission has re- VARIANCE commended approval of a variance request from Arthur Kato, 1859 Holton, REQUEST to expand his present garage to a double garage which would be 2 feet ARTHUR KATO from .the lot line. Councilmember Steele moved, seconded by Council- 1859 HOLTON member Larson that the variance be granted. Motion carried unanimously.
