<br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order
<br />by I'7ayor 1~?arkentien at 7:33 p,m.
<br />Mayor TrJarkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra.
<br />Also present T-ere Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg, and
<br />Attorney Davies.
<br />None.
<br />?`~°, Charles Laudenbach of Ralph Z. Yellen and Associates was present to
<br />discuss the 1971 1~lunicipal Liquor Store Annual :' :port. He informed the
<br />Council that operating income for 19711 was ~$1a9,366,03, and with 19'73
<br />retained earn-irgs of $3,72b,C0 less the bond payment and interest of
<br />~r,915.00 realized a retained earnin~;.~ of $17,177.03 through December 31,
<br />197.. He commended the Council and staff for awell-managed business.
<br />Mr. Laudenbach suggested the Council consider hiring an cutside fire to
<br />do the physical inventory quarterly.

<br />Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, to authorize
<br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes to investigate the possibility of hiring an
<br />outside firm .f.or. inventory purposes, and to report back at the next meeting.
<br />Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye11 : Mayor t~'arkentien,
<br />Councilmen Black, F~cklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted
<br />"nay": P1one. Motion carried.
<br />Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Mayor T~nrarkentien, to accept the
<br />1971; Municipal Liquor Store Report. Upon a vote being taken, the follow-
<br />ing voted "aye": Mayor 1~'arkentien, Councilmen Black, Steele, and Labalestra,
<br />and the :Following voted ''nay": Councilman E eklund. Councilman Ecklund
<br />stated he voted "nay" for the reason he felt it di ~~ not reflect a true
<br />picture without showing the interest of the temporaf^y sewer loan. Mr.
<br />Laudenbach stated he did not believe the sewer loan cost should be in-
<br />cluded, but that was the choice of the Council.
<br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Black, tc approve the MINUTES
<br />minutes of_ February 27, 197 as corrected, Upon a vote being taken, the FEBRUARY 27
<br />following votes "aye" : Mayor T'arkentien, Cou c_lmer_ B7-ask, Ecklund,
<br />Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay': None, Motion
<br />carried.
<br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Ec?~lwZd, to approve the MI:N`i~S
<br />:~~inutes of March 13, 197> as corrected. Upon a vote being taken, the MARCH 13
<br />following voted "aye" : P-7ayor T~'arkenti en, Councilmen Black, Ecklund,
<br />Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion
<br />carried.
<br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, to approve MINUTES
<br />the minutes of march 27, 1915 as corrected. Upon a vote being taken, MARCH 27
<br />the following votes' "aye" : Mayor T arkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund,
<br />Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. PJ"otion
