MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING

<br />JUNE 26, 1975
<br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order
<br />by Mayor Warkentien at 8:06 p.m.
<br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black and Labalestra. Also present were
<br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg, and Attorney Kenefick.
<br />Councilmen Ecklund and Steele.

<br />Councilman Black presented the discussion on the variance and conditional DANIEL NORDELL
<br />use request of Daniel Nordell, 1l~30 West Iowa, for a radio tower. He read RADIO TOWER
<br />the minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of June 25 that recommended VARIANCE AND
<br />the request be tabled until further information on side-yard set back, de- CONDITIONAL USE
<br />sign of antenna, possible encroachment, and sufficient liability insurance DISCUSSION
<br />for damage to person or property are obtained. No action taken.
<br />Councilman Black presented the discussion on the variance request of C. P. C. P. HOOKER
<br />Hooker, 1756 St. Mary's, for construction of a tennis court, with a 10 foot VARIANCE REQUEST
<br />high fence, 60 x 110 court, and a three foot side-yard variance to place FOR TENNIS
<br />the court 2 feet from the north side-yard line. COURT
<br />Mr_ Hooker was present, and stated _he would like to move the tennis
<br />court within 5 feet of the rear lot line if possible. A discussion was
<br />held, and Attorney K enefick stated the Council could approve the variance
<br />reugest.
<br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Mayor Warkentien, that the variance be
<br />approved, subject to a letter of approval from the property owner east of
<br />their property, and subject to Planning Commission approval. Upon a vote
<br />being taken, the following voted "aye" : Mayor ~~arkentien, Councilmen
<br />Black and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay's: None. Motion carried.
<br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, to approve the MINUTES
<br />minutes of June 12, 1975 as corrected. Upon a vote be~rag taken, the follow-
<br />ing voted "aye's: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black and Labalestra, and
<br />the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried.
<br />Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve the DANIEL GIISIKAN
<br />application of Daniel Gillman, 1168 Fifield, Apt. N-2, as a Summer Recre- AS SUTR~LER
<br />ation assistant to fill the position vacated by Beth Lec~y. Upon a vote RECREATION
<br />being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Zti'arkentien, Councilmen ASSISTANT
<br />Black and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion
<br />carried..
<br /> Councilman Labalestra moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve BOTTLE CLUB
<br /> Bottle Club License No. 316 for Falcon Lanes, Inc. (Clement A. Lehnen) LICENSE N0. 316
<br /> 1550 West Larpenteur, for Idle period of July 1, 1975 to June 30, 1976. FALCON LANES
<br /> Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, INC. CLEMENT
<br /> Councilmen Black and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay's : None.
<br />Motion carried. A. LEHNEN
<br /> Mayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Labalestra, to approve TEL~'HONE FOR
<br /> the installation of a telephone booth at Falcon Heights Community Park FALCON HEIGHTS
<br /> with an installation fee of $25.00, and $11.80 ger month. Upon a vote COMMUNITY PARK
<br /> being taken, the following voted "aye": Mayor titiTarkentien, Councilmen
<br /> Black and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion
<br /> carried.
