MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING 8 <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />AUGUST 1~., 19 75 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Warkentien, at 8:00 P.M. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Labalestra. Also present PRESENT <br />were Clerk Administrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg, and Attorney Kenefick. <br />Councilman Steele, who was on vacation. ABSENT <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, to approve the MINUTES <br />minutes of July 2l~, 1975, as corrected. Upon a vote being taken, the JULY 2!~ <br />following voted "ayes': Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, <br />and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />The minutes of the special meeting of July 29, 1975, on the Crawford and MINUTES <br />Arona improvements were defera~s~i to the next meeting, when each Council- JULY 29 <br />man would have a copy. <br />Councilman Black presented the minutes and report of the Planning Com- FRONT YARD <br />mission meeting of August 11, 1975, concerning the petition of Mrs. Reiter PARKING <br />17l~6 North Fry Street, and other citizens on Fry Street and St. Mary's PETITION- <br />that requested the Council rescind Ordinance 118 , that does riot permit RESULTS OF <br />front yard parking. Councilman Black reviewed the petition, and stated PLANNIPiG <br />at the public hearing of August 11, that the Planning Commission unani- COT~~ SSION <br />mously voted to retain Ordinance 118 in its present fpran. PUHLIC <br />HEARING. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, that the Council <br />accept the Planning Commission minutes and report of August 11, 1975, <br />concerning yard parking during Fat~r week. Upon a vote being taken, the <br />following voted "ays": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and <br />Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien then asked the audience if they had any questions or <br />comments, and if so, to present them to the Council. <br />Mrs. A. J. Steinworth, 1735 North Fry, stated she was concerned what to <br />do with the cars of friends or visitors, if cars could not be parked on <br />the grass. <br />Councilman Ecklund stated as many cars as possible could be parked on <br />her driveway. <br />Mrs. Ritchie, 1767 North Fry, asked the Attorney to interpret the ordinance, <br />as to title of car owner, and where the owner of the car could parlc the <br />cars. <br />Attorney Kenefick stated that up to three cars could be parlced, as long <br />as they were registered in the name of the residents residing on the <br />property. He then stated the cars have to beparked on a surfaced area <br />of the front yard. <br />
