MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA MAY 27, 1976 A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor Warkentien at 7:00 p.m. Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and PRESENT Labalestra. Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer Cook, and Attorney Skor. None. ~3~T Moved by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman Ecklund to APPROVAL OF approve the Minutes of the regular meeting of May 13, 1976, MINUTES: as corrected. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted MAY 13, 1976 "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele, and Labalestra, and the following voted "nay": None. Motion carried. Engineer Cook reviewed the bids received on the 1976 Seal AWARD OF BID Coat project. The low bidder was A71ied Blacktop Compatay, FOR 1976 in the amount of $17,971.96. The project broken down is STREET MAIN- as follows: TENANCE AND SEAL COATING Part I. Seal Coat, all except Garden Ave. $12,268.20 Part II. Seal Coat Garden Ave. 1,183.10 Part III. Community Park Parking Lot l~,520.66 The 1976 budgeted amount for seal coating was $15,000.00. The total cost of seal coating with Garden Avenue included plus Engineering would be approximately $1l~,800.00. The Council discussed the possible deletion of part or parts of the project. The Engineer recommended that the bid for sealcoating be zawarded to Allied Blacktop Company, and felt that if sufficient funds were not available to construct the Parking Lot, a change order should be prepared to delete that amount. Moved by Councilman Steele, seconded by Councilman Ecklund to RESOLUTION award the bid for 1976 Street Maintenance and Sealcoating to N0. 76-19: the Allied Blacktop Compar~y, as submitted in the amount of AWARDING BID $17,971..96. Upon a vote being taken, the following voted "aye" : ~R 1976 Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Ecklund and Steele, and the following STREET MAIN- voted "nay": Councilmen Black and Labalestra,. Motion carried. TENANCE AND SEAL COATING Moved by Councilman Labalestra, seconded by Councilman Black to delete Part II(Sealcoat Garden Avenue) and Part III (Parking Lot) from the 1976 bid for street maintenance and seal coating in the amount of $5,703.76. Discussion followed.
