MINUTES <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING <br />CITY OF FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA ~ <br />FEBRUARY 9, 1977 ~• ~ ~ <br />~. <br /> <br />1 <br />A special meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Warkentien at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra. Also PRESENT <br />present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Attorney Kenefick and Engineer <br />Lemberg. <br />None. ABSENT <br />Councilman Steele moved and it was seconded by Councilman Labalestra to APPROVAL OF MIN <br />approve, as corrected, the minutes of January 27, 1977. Upon a vote being UTES OF 1/27/77 <br />taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted "nay": None. <br />Motion carried. <br />Councilman Labalestra moved and it was seconded by Councilman .31ack to <br />approve the items on the Consent Agenda as follows: <br />1. Falcon Heights Fire Department Reports, Nos. 6 and 7. <br />2. General disbursements in the amount of $l~,927.l~0. <br />3. Liquor disbursements in the amount of $13.30.90. <br />~.. Liquor payroll (1/16-31/77) in the amount of $2,015.75. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted <br />"nay": None. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Doug Ritter, representing the Suburban Sun newspaper, appeared before <br />Council to recommend that the City purchase 2 pages of advertising in.. he <br />Falcon Heights Community Directory, which is published by the Sun. <br />Mr. Ritter suggested the City purchase the second and third white pages <br />for civic information. He showed Council the Roseville and Corib area <br />directories as examples of the type of c~vic information usually printed <br />on these pages. Mr. Ritter quoted a price of $250.00 for the first page <br />and $150.00 for the second page for a total of $100.00, Council felt the <br />advertisement would be beneficial and a handy ref erence for the citizens <br />of Falcon Heights. <br />Councilman Steele moved and it was seconded by Councilman Black to pur- <br />chase two pages (pages 2 and 3) in the Sun's Falcon Heights Community <br />Directory for presentation of civitG information, at a cost of $l~00.00. <br />The contents of the pages are to be determined by Mayor Warkentien and <br />Clerk-Administrator Barnes. <br />Upon a vote being taken the following voted "aye": Mayor Warkentien, <br />Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Steele and Labalestra and the following voted <br />"nay": None.
