3038 <br />MEETING OF JANUARY 11~, 1971 <br />The regti].ar meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following mea-bers <br />present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone and Taylor. Also <br />present were Clerk Printon, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney Seed. <br />Oaths of Office: <br />Clerk The oath of office was administered by Mayor Warkentien <br />Printon to John R. Printon, newly appointed Clerk-Administrator <br />of Falcon Heights. <br />Councilman The oath of office was administered by Clerk Printon to <br />Stone Charles P. Stone, who was re-elected to serve as Councilman. <br />Councilman The oath of"office was administered by Clerk Printon to <br />Taylor James W. Taylor, newly elected Councilman of Falcon <br />Heights. <br />Justice of the The oath of office was administered by Clerk Printon to <br />Peace Mannikko: Joseph L. Mannikko, who was re-elected to serve as <br />Justice of the Peace of Falcon Heights. <br />Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of the December 23, 1970 <br />meeting be approved as corrected. Black seconded and <br />the motion carried. <br />Ken Moore - Ben Moore, 18175 North Lex3.ngton Avenue, was present at <br />Regarding the meeting and indicated great difficulty in getting <br />Insurance: proper liability insurance to protect the Village in <br />connection with the snow plowing. Councilman Black <br />will check further into the matter. <br />Appointments <br />for Year 1971 - <br />4~fficial Stone moved that the Sun Newspapers be retained as <br />Newspaper: official newspaper for the Village of Falcon Heights. <br />Ecklund seconded and the motion carried. <br /> Attorney: Warkentien moved that the firm of Briggs and Morgan, <br /> represented by Peter Seed, be retained as Village <br /> Attorney. Black seconded and the motion carried. <br /> Engineer: Stone moved that the firm of Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik <br /> ~ Associates, represented by Brad Lemberg, be retained <br />_ as consulting engineer. Taylor seconded and the motion <br /> carried. <br /> Building Black moved that Richard Magnuson be retained as Village <br /> Inspector: building inspector. Warkentien seconded and the motion <br /> carried. <br /> Civil Defense Stone moved that Henry Dachtera be retained as Civil <br /> Director: Defense Director at the same aa.lary as last year and <br /> Mrs. Dachtera as assistant without salary. Ecklund <br /> seconded and the motion carried. <br />
