COUNCIL I•r:ETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, R~INIdESOTA <br />DECEfi~~ER 2„ 1971 <br />A regular mee~i.ng of the Falcon Heights Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Warkeritien at 7:5U P.M., on December c"3, 1971. <br />P:~t~;,~~EAIT: Mayor ~~ar~xentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone and Taylor. Also <br />present were Clerk-Ao'ministrator Barnes, Engineer i,emberg and Attorney <br />Zdrazil. <br />AB SEiJT : None . <br />minutes: P~iotion by Councilman Taylor, seconded by Councilman Black, <br />to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of November <br />2~, 1.y71, with the following amendments: <br />Page 1, Paragraph 9, should read "The matter of the variance <br />recauest for the Harry Olson property, lt~3b °vdest Larpenteur <br />Avenue. Pir. and Nlrs. Harry Olson, their Attorney, Tryil3iant <br />J. McEvoy, and 29 neighbors appeared in support of the <br />Oisons request for variance. Mayor Vdarkentien said that <br />in view of numerous derogatory remarks being made that it <br />was his intent to set the record straight that the Council <br />and Planning Commission members have worked diligently on <br />this request and other matters. That it is the intent of <br />the Courtcii. to consider the P ~ arming Cor.,mission recommenda- <br />tion. and likewise consider the variance request in behalf <br />of the Olsons in respect to the Village Ordinance in the <br />matter. Councilman Black read all previous letters between <br />the Vil~~age Office, Planning Conunission, and the Olsons, <br />and other petitions, requests, provisions of Ordinance No. <br />6i:, filed in the office of the Village Clerk. No applica- <br />tion was applied for previous to construction of t'rte fence. <br />i•ir. Olson related that he thought the swimming pool instal- <br />ler had obtained permits in 1968 to construct the fence <br />at the same time pertnits were obtained for the pool instal- <br />lation. The previous fence was installed before the Ordin- <br />ance came into effect. <br />Page 2, Par•a.graph :i.0, should read "I~ir. ifc%voy suggested <br />leaving the fence at the present location on a trial basis." <br />Pate i~, Paragraph 7, should read "If a Hi-raise Development <br />wex•e constructed on Larpenteur Avenue west of Tatum Street." <br />iJlotion by Councilman Black, seconded by Councilman ^laylor, <br />to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of December 9, <br />1971, with the foll.owirtg amendments <br />Page 1, Paragraph 2, should read "To sell Christmas trees <br />fer the Falcon Heights Church Youth Group, at 1795 idor-l:h <br />Holton." <br />
