<br />MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />MARCH 23, 1972 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Council was called to order by Mayer <br />Warkentien at 7:l~0 P.M. <br />PRESENT: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, Stone and Taylor. Also <br />present were Clerk Administrator Barnec~, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney <br />Seed. <br />ABSENT: None <br />MINUTES: Councilman Stone moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, <br /> to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of March 9, <br /> 1972, as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Fire Truck It was reported that Fire Truck Bids were opened by Clerk- <br />Bids.- Tabled Administrator Barnes and Engineer Lemberg at 2:00 P.M. <br />Unti3: Meeting of March 22, 1972• After Council revieK of the bids and <br />April 13, 1972: tabulation, Councilman Ecklund moved that the bids be <br /> referred to the Fire Department truck ca~mnittee for recom- <br /> mendation. Councilman Black seconded and the motion carried. <br />Tatum Street A letter written by Mr. and Mrs. Whitney, 1725 Tatum Street, <br />' <br />Parking Complaint: in f <br />eference to the "No Parking" signs installed on Tatum <br /> Street recently, was read. They requested moving the sign <br /> at least one more lot to allow the mailman to deposit their <br /> mail. Engineer Lemberg recommended exuding the two hour <br /> parking sign approximately 50 feet. Councilman Ecklund <br /> moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, to instruct the Clerk- <br /> Administrator to consult with residents on Tatum Street <br /> from 1700 north for their ideas and comments of hosting <br /> "Two Hour" parking signs to include 4 additional lots north <br /> on the west side of Tatum and 3 lots on the east side, if <br /> no objections, the Clerk should have the additional signs <br /> installed. Motion carried. <br />Yard Parking The following residents appeared at the meeting in response <br />Discussion: to a letter frcan the Village Clerk Administrator, to dis- <br />cuss the pros and cons of residential yard parking during <br />Fair time. <br />Mr. Holes, 1771 Fry Street, ob3ects because it is against <br />the law and looks messy. He thought Har Mar buses may in <br />tame shuttle people to parking lots in Har Mar at Fair time. <br />He doesn't think Falcon Heights is the kind of an area to <br />allow this. It also makes a lot of noise and allows all <br />Kinds of people into the area. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Duxfee, 1.197 West California Avenue, ob~eeted <br />because the property would depreciate. It is prohibited <br />in other cities he said. He thinks the shopping centers <br />
