~~ <br />i~ <br />1 <br />1 <br />MINiITES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 28, 1972 <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights Village Council was called to order by <br />Mayor Warkentien at 7:31 P.M. <br />PRESENT: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black and Stone, and Council- <br />woman Stocker. Councilman Ecklund arrived at 7:l~8 P.M. <br />Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer <br />Lemberg and Attorney Kenefick. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />Minutes: Councilman Blank moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br /> to approve the minutes of the meeting of December 11~, 1972, <br /> as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Master Gas Installers rTayor Warkentien moved, seconded by Councilman Stone, to <br />License - Home Heating approve the application for a Master Gas Installers license <br />& Air Conditioning: by Home Heating and Air Conditioning, l~805 Dominick Drive, <br /> Minnetonka, Minnesota. Motion carried. <br />National Surplus Store - Mr. Phil Barber, owner of the National Surplus Store, 154 <br />Sign Variance: W. Larpenteur Avenue, Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was present <br /> at the meeting by request of the Council, regarding the <br /> 221 square feet of signs on his store, which do not comply <br /> with Ordinance #6t~. Mr. Barber stated that the National <br /> Surplus Store will be taking over the building space now <br /> occupied by the Thrifty Beauty Supply Company, which would <br /> also add to the total floor space of his establishment. <br /> Councilman Black informed Mr. Barber that his request will <br /> go before the Falcon Heights Planning Commission after the <br /> first of the year. <br />Pizza Hut - Michael R. Watts, Area Manager for the Pizza Hut Northwest, <br />Delivery Service: 1650 North Snelling Avenue, Falcon Heights, Minnesota, was <br /> present at the meeting to discuss Dispatch Delivery, a new <br /> concept in their business. This type of service enables <br /> customers to call into a dispatch number and order a pizza. <br /> A truck is then dispatched to the customer, baking the pizza <br /> on its way. The Council f elt that this type of operation <br /> would not be in violation of any present ordinance. <br />Oath of Office - The oath of office was administered by Mayor Warkentien, to <br />William H. Black: William H. Black, who was reelected to serve as Councilman <br />for the Village of Falcon Heights for a period of three years <br />from 1973-1975• <br />Liquor Store - Councilman Stone introduced the following resolution and <br />15 Minute Parking Signs: moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 72-51~ <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 3 - 15 MINUTE PARKING SIGNS <br />TO BE PLACID ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF CRAWFORD ADJACENT <br />TO THE MUNICIPAL LIQUOR STORE <br />
