MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING 2 <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, rTINNESOTA <br />APRIL ll, 197I~ <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Warkentien at 7:30 P.M. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Steele, PRESENT <br />and Councilwoman Stocker. Also present were Clerk-Ad- <br />ministrator Barnes, Engineer Lemberg and Attorney <br />Kenefick. <br />None. ABSENT <br />Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, MINUTES <br />to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of March <br />28, 1971, as written. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, GEPdERAL CORPORATE LICENSE <br />to approve General Corporate License 27b, to Steven's 276 ISSUED TO STEVEN'S <br />Landscaping, Box 297, Hugo, Minnesota, for tree trimming, LANDSCAPING FOR TREE <br />license to exbire June 30, 197l~. Motion carried. TRIMMING <br />Councilwoman Stocker moved, seconded by Councilman Ecklund, NON-INTOXICATING MALT <br />to approve the "On-Sale" Non-Intoxicating Malt Liquor LIQUOR LICENSES <br />License renewal, for Fred C. O'Neil, Block ~5, Building <br />151, Agriculture-Horticulture, State Fairgrounds, for <br />the period of July 1, 1971.E through June 30, 1975. <br />Motion unanimously carried. <br />Councilman Black moved, seconded by Councilman Steele, <br />to approve the new "On-Sale" Non-Intoxicating Malt <br />Liquor License, for Lawrence W. Breene, Block 50, <br />Building 501, Hippodrome, State Fairgrounds, for the <br />period of July 1, 197I~ through June 30, 1975. Motion <br />unanimously carried. <br />A brief discussion was held concerning the fee of the <br />Non-Intoxicating Malt Liquor Licenses. It was found <br />that the fee for said license had been set in 1955 <br />and that there had been no change in the fee since <br />that time. <br />1 <br />Councilman Steele moved, seconded by Councilwoman Stocker, <br />that a review of all license fees be made and all <br />changes incorporated before the adoption of the 1975 <br />budget. Motion unanimously carried. <br />Councilman Black read the letter from the City Attorney <br />to the Clerk-Administrator stating his interpretation <br />of the Uniform Building Code, relating to the instal- <br />lation of standpipes in apartment buildings. This <br />letter is on file in the Clerk's office. The Arden <br />Hi11s Investment Compar~y which is constructing an <br />apartment building at 1830 W. Larpenteur Avenue had <br />requested that the Council waive the standpipe <br />requirement. <br />It was the Attorney's opinion that the Council could <br />not waive the code, adopted by Ordinance, but that the <br />Arden Hi11s Tnvestment Company should a ppeat to the <br />State Building Inspector, and ask that ~he State waive <br />REVIEW OF LICENSE FEES <br />1830 W.
