MINUTES OF REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />FALCON HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA <br />MAY 23, 197t~ <br />4 ;~ <br />A regular meeting of the Falcon Heights City Council was called to order by Mayor <br />Warkentien at 8:00 P.l~f. <br />Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund, and Council- PRESENT <br />woman Stocker. Councilman Steele arrived at 8:10 P.M. <br />Also present were Clerk-Administrator Barnes, Engineer <br />Lemberg and Attorney Kenefick. <br />None. ABSENT <br />.Councilman Ecklund moved, seconded by Councilman Black, MINUTES <br />to approve the minutes of the meeting of May 9, 197, <br />as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Mr. Robert Sander, representing the firm of Juran and PARK BONDS <br />Moody, City Fiscal Agents, was present to open and <br />tabulate bids for the $100,000 General Obligation <br />Bonds, to be issued for the proposed Community Park. <br />Bids were opened at 8:00 P.M. and the summary is as <br />follows: <br />SUMMARY OF BIDS BID TOTAL INTEREST NET RATE <br />First National Bank of St. Paul $98,600.00 $56,990.00 5.875% <br />E. Baird and Company 98,100.00 57,910.00 5.9?01~ <br />Piper, Jaffray and Hopwood 98,100.00 59,292.50 6.1126 <br />Councilman Black introduced the following Resolution <br />and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 7t~-13 <br />A RESOLUTION A1rrARDING THE BID FOR GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />BONDS OF 197l~ TO THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF ST. PAUL, <br />AS PER THEIR BID <br />Councilwoman Stocker seconded the foregoing Resolution, <br />and upon a vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund, and Steele, and Councilwoman Stocker. Motion <br />unanimously carried. <br />S. P. Chaudhaly, Robert Dobin, Jim Fuller, and Myron FRY STREET PARKING <br />Sund, residents of the Spiegler Apartments on Fry <br />Street, were present to request that parking be allowed <br />to continue on the west side of Fry Street, as per the <br />past six months, when the "No Parking" ban from 2 A.M. <br />to 7 A.M. was removed. <br />This parking situation was brought to the Council's <br />attention in December, 1973, when a petition was <br />presented by the residents of the Spiegler Apartments, <br />requesting the parking ban be removed. <br />
