~2EGULAR MEETING OF FF~~Br~UAttY 27, 1969 <br />2851A <br />The regular meeting of February 27, 1969 wa.s called to order at 7:OU P.M. i~iith the <br />follozring members present : r:ayor tilarkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Stone, Black <br />and r,c'_flund. Also, present ?sere Attorney Seed, Treasurer Olsen and Engineer Lemberg. <br />T!inu-tes: ti•,larlcentien moved, seconded by Ecklund that the minutes of the <br />~iecting of February 13, 196.9 be accepted as corrected. Ecklund ti•rill <br />ex~im~ine them. prior to that meeting . <br />Correspondence: <br />Department of Letter dated February 11., 1969 wa.s received by Village Clerk from <br />Public Forks: Inlugene Aver*, Chief Lnt;ineer, St. Paul Department of Public ti•Jorks, <br />regarding Snoti~T PloVring and Taging Procedures in the Villa e of <br />Falcon Heights. l~lr. every st~~ted that a system should be i~rorlced <br />out for the St. Paul City Lirlits on Hamline and Ho~v-t as during <br />snot: emergencies, they ca-n onl~r tai the St. Paul side. The <br />Clerk was directed. -to contact Ilr. Aver~,~' s office and ask thorn for <br />a copy of the reso~_ution passit~„ the ordinance for Snow Emergency in <br />in the City of St. Paul so that the Council ca.n pass the same type of <br />resolution for the ?Tillage of Falcon Heights. Also, he was directed <br />to find DLit hOtiT many sign they tiranted along Hamline and Hoyt and if <br />they zTCUld furnish the posts as hell as the signs. <br />Ecl.lund moved that the snoti~ Pmergency system be put into effect and <br />the signs installed as requested by St. Paul for Larpenteur to <br />Ho;rt on Hamline and betti~Teen Hamline and Snelling on Hoyt. <br />Taylor seconded. Upon a vote being taken, the motion was passed <br />unanimously. <br />No Parking Signs Mr. Pothen, 1726 N. Fry, requested that the existing No Parking <br />for 1726 P1. Fry: 2:00 A.Iri. to 7:30 A.M. sign be extended. to include his property <br />as the apartment residents are blocking his drivetiray so that he <br />cannot, at times, use it. The Council discussed the possibility <br />of posting the entire street; however, the remaining residents <br />on that street may not want their property posted as such. <br />ti°~ark_entien moved that the Village install No Parking 2:00 A.T4. to <br />7:30 A.P~T. signs on the east side of Fry north of Larpenteur to the <br />north property line of 1726 N. Fry. 1~cklund seconded. P~Totien <br />carried unanimously. <br />~'Lepair of `,~~2 Ecklund presented an estimate from Schelen Electric, Inc. for <br />ti°~ard La France: the ~2 T°~a.rd La France. The estimate included a rebuilt 100 amp <br />alternator trlth pulley, a. 30 rlonth full i•~rarranty and tiriring and <br />labor for~315.00. Stone seconded Ecklund's motion to accept <br />Scl.elen Electric's estimate and authorize them to commence <br />the repairs. ~°fotion carried, Ecklund stated that the Village <br />can use the original equipment if the 100 amp alternator should <br />ever be removed because the old equipment wil7_ just be aisconnected. <br />Fire iieports : I?,cl~lund read Fire Reports ;770 and f 771. <br />Sheriff ~Zeport: Ecklund read the P~amsey County Sheriff's Report for January 1969. <br />Tiles patrolled, 12,1~L~1; hours patrolled 71;.1.x; and called ansi~rered 576. <br />F.D.R.A. Bi-11: Attorney advic ed that Representatives A,shbach and Be11 i•~ere given <br />copies of the Fa7_con Heights F.D.R..4. Bill. Stone and. Ecklund Zrill <br />folloi~r-up to see if they are interested. <br />
