2882 <br /> MEETING OF APRTL 21~, 1969 <br />The regular meeting of April 21~, 1969 was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the <br />following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Stone, <br />Black and Ecklund. Also present were Attorney Seed and Treasurer Olsen. <br />Minutes: Blac'.s moved, Stone seconded approval of the April 10, 1969 <br /> minutes as corrected. Motion carried. <br />Refund of Sewer Stone moved, Black seconded that the Village refund $30.00 <br />Rental Payment to the Falcon Heights United Church of Christ which is an <br />to F.H. Church: overcharge in sewer rental for the first quarter of 1969. <br /> Motion was carried. <br />Fire Reports: Ecklund read Fire Reports 775 and 776. It was noted that <br /> the response have been five to nine men for day calls. <br />Payment of Sewer Mayor moved payment to Rosetown Sanitation for sewer repairs <br />Repair Bills: at 17t~9 Albert (Invoice 1189) in the amount of X180.00 and for <br /> -~~-753 Albert (Invoice 1.1x.88) for ~11a.0.00 as the Village Engineer <br /> informed the Council that the roots and obstructions were in <br /> the main line. Ecklund seconded. Motion carried. <br />Storm Sewer The Storm Sewer Improvement of 1969-1 Agreement is being drafted <br />Improvement 69-1: now. The parties involved are Roseville, Falcon Heights and the <br /> County. <br />Ordinance 89: Discussion was held regarding park3.ng in fire lanes and by <br /> hydrants on private property. Ordinance $9 has been published and <br /> a resolution will be introduced at the next meeting pointing out <br /> specific spots within the Village where said parking is prohibited. <br />Recreation Brauer & Associates will have a representative talk to the <br />Meeting: Recreation Committee on Thursday, May 1, 1969 at 8:00 P.M. <br /> regarding recreational plans and needs in Falcon Heights. <br />~. <br />County Assessors <br />It was noted that TrTarkentien and F,cklund attended the <br />Meeting: County Assessoris meeting, Tuesday, April 22, 1969. <br />Trees: Councilman B1a,ck pointed out that some trees on Holton will <br /> need trimming. Also, the resident of 1753 Albert had a tree <br /> removed on his boulevard and would like to remove the one on the <br /> other side of his lot also, replacing them with one in the middle <br /> of his yard. The Council stated that this would have to be paid <br /> by the owner. <br />Parking Problem: Regarding apartment residents parking on California, Mrs. Payin <br />was informed that the Deputies have been chec3sing her neighborhood. <br />Two of the regular packers live in the apartments at 1.1x.72 W. <br />Larpa~nteur and the third has an address listed in Duluth. The <br />apartment parking lot was checked and found to be full. She <br />was informed that street parking is open for everyone~s use. <br />If the cars had a place to park, she would have a legitimate <br />complaint. If No Parking signs are put up then the cars move <br />farther down the block and the Council would not be resolving <br />the problem. Ecklund volunteered to contact the apartment owner <br />and see if he would get his cooperation for a solution. Ecklund <br />informed Mrs. Payin, however, that the Council cannot force the issue. <br />
