MEETIXG OF JA1tIIARY 22, 1970 <br />2958 <br />The regular meeting of January 22, 1970 was called to orderat 7:00 P.M. with the <br />following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Councilmen Black, Ecklund and Stone. <br />Aiao present were Engineer Lemberg and Treasurer Olsen. Attorney Seed arrived at <br />8:4o P. M. <br />Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of the meeting of January 8,1970 <br />be approved as corrected. Ecklund seconded and the motion <br />carried. <br />Appointments: Warkentien moved that Mrs. Veronica Kjelland be re-appointed <br />to the Board of Health of Falcon Heights for the term expiring <br />December 31, 1972. Ecklund seconded and motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien re-appointed Leo S. Ohman to the Falcon Heights <br />Planning Commission for the term expiring December 31, 1972. <br />Black moved that the Mayor's appointment be confirmed. Ecklund <br />seconded and motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien re-appointed Robert C. Blomberg to the Falcon <br />Heights Planning Commission for the term expiring December 31, <br />1972• Black moved that the Mayor's appointment be confirmed. <br />Ecklund seconded and motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien re-appointed Mra. Donald Irish to the Falcon <br />Heights Human Rights Commission for the term e~tpiring May 8,1972. <br />Ecklund moved that the Mayor's appointment be confirmed. Black <br />seconded and motion carried. <br />Mayor Warkentien re-appointed Mrs. Curtis Larson to the Falcon <br />Heights Human Rights Commission for the term expiring May 8,1972. <br />Ecklund moved that the Mayor's appointment be confirmed. Black <br />seconded and motion carried. <br />Ecklund moved that Richard Alquiat be re-appointed as Village <br />Plumbing inspector for the year 1970. Warkentien seconded and <br />motion carried. <br />Pizza Hut Request Bill Haug, Attorney f®r the Pizza Hut, and Don Moore, Area <br />to use One General Manager for St. Paul and Minneapolis, were at Council <br />Dining Room: meeting to discuss their using one dining room for adults and <br />teenagers from Monday through Thursday instead of the usual two <br />separate dining rooms, except on Friday and Saturdays when buai- <br />neas warrants the opening of both dining rooms. The Council <br />could see no objection to their request inasmuch as this was sot <br />insisted upon by the Council when the Pizza Hut was built, but <br />rather was a method of operation they said they would follow. <br />At this tlhae, there are no legal grounds to deny the use which <br />they have requested. <br />Snow Removal on The Council discussed the snow removal problem at Hemline and <br />Hemline and Iowa Avenue shopping center, and it was decided that nothing <br />Iowa Avenue: could be done at thin location without doing the name for all <br />other business places in Falcon Heij~hta. <br />
