2992 <br />MEETING OF JULY 9, 1970 ~~ <br />The regular meeting of July 9, 1970 was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the <br />following members present: Mayor Warkentien, Clerk Taylor, Councilmen Black, <br />Ecklund and Stone. Also present were Treasurer Olsen and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Attorney Seed arrived at 7:LG0 P.M. <br />Minutes: Stone moved that the minutes of the June 25, 1970 meeting <br />be approved as corrected. Black seconded and the motion <br />carried. <br />Sewer Problems: Taylor read a letter submitted by Henry Dachtera, 1731 <br />North Pascal Avenue, regarding broken sewer connection in <br />the main sewer. Warkentien moved that the Village Engineer <br />be authorized to inspect the sewer problem of Mr. Dachtera, <br />Robert Luey, 17115 North Pascal and R. J. Conway, 1761 North <br />Arona Avenue, and have the necessary repairs made. TaCrlor <br />seconded and the motion carried. <br />Surer Televising Stone moved that the Village Engineer be authorized to ob- <br />and Cleaning in taro a price quotation from the American Pipe Cleaning <br />the Northome Area: Company, for the necessary televising and cleaning of sew- <br /> ers in the Northome Area, south of Larpenteur and east of <br /> Snelling Avenues. Taylor seconded and the motion carried. <br />Letter to Rose3awn Taylor read a letter drafted by Engineer Lemberg for the <br />Residents Drafted Village Clerk to write to the residents residing on the <br />by Engineer Lemberg : south side of Roselawn Avenue from Fairview to Cleveland <br /> Avenues regarding the debris along the street. <br />Federal Land Bank Stone moved that Treasurer Olsen be authorized to invest <br />Bond Imrestment: $12,000 from the Permanent Playground Improvement Fund into <br /> Federal Land Bank Bonds at 8~ interest. Warkentien seconded <br /> and the motion carried. <br />Lester M. Bolstad Warkentien read a letter from Lester M. Bolstad, Jr.,Chair- <br />Letter: man of the Metropolitan Transit Commission, regarding a <br /> Notice of Hearing in the matter of the Proposed Adoption of <br /> Rules of the Twin Cities Area Metropolitan Transit Commis- <br /> sion Governing Operations of Transit Carriers and Charter <br /> Carrier Tariff, Accounting and Insurance and Rules of Prac- <br /> tice. Date and time of Hearing is July 20, 1970 at 9:30 A.M. <br /> continuing until all representatives of associations or <br /> other interested groups or persons have had an opportunity <br /> to be heard. <br />Construction Warkentien moved that the Village Attorney be instructed to <br />Account Closeout draft a resolution closing out the Construction Accounts <br />Resolution 70-11: as follows: <br />WHEREAS: <br />1. The Constru.etion Account in the 1967 Improvement <br />Bonds Fund of the Village shows a deficit of $1,950.30. <br />
