192I~ <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF JUNE 3, 1963 <br />The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. with the following ansmbers being <br />present: Harold Nilsen, Mayor; Geprge Shavor, Trustee; Charles Stone, Trustee; <br />and W. A. Mortenson, Clerk. Also present ware Brad Lemberg, Engineer; and <br />Manna Vavoulis, Deputy Clerk. <br />Motion was made try Shavor, seconded try Stone to accept the minutes of the regu~r <br />meeting of May 22, 1963. All ayes. <br />Speeding at the corner A latter from Co7.lin Alexander of 1868 Arona was read <br />of Arona and Ruggaess regarding high speeds at this corner, mainly try teen- <br />age drivers. Coven Harmer of the Police Department was <br />present and he was requested to advise Don Arndt, Com- <br />missioner, about the possibility of buying or renting <br />an electrical tab timer. <br />North Snelling Avenue This special aaveeting was called to hear from people <br />Sanitary Ssarer bctension: involved as to the feasibility of said extension. <br />Mrs. Panttiar, her sister, Mri. Saunders, Mr. Thatcher,. <br />and Mr. Strandquist were present to give their vienrs. <br />It was agreed that if the cost was approximately ~t.0 <br />per front foot, they would like to have this sanitary <br />sewer extension. tdr. Thatcher volunteered to take a <br />petition to the ten homes involved and get signatures <br />of the people who agree to this extension. <br />Mrs. Pant~ar advised that her front yard has more <br />sand and wash-out than ever before. It was agreed <br />to have Mr. Quern the maintenance man, check into <br />this matter. <br />Billiard Parlor: The Planning Commission is in favor of the Conditional <br />Emil Melixi Use Permit for Emil Melin to operate a billiard. parlor, <br />sub3ect to the Village having soave control over it, so <br />it would not show signs of deterioration. Stone moved, <br />Shavor seconded that the Conditional Use Permit be <br />approved with the inclusion that the closing hours <br />shall be no later than I:00 A.M. All ayes. <br />Water Fain Improvement On mption try Shavor, seconded by Stone, it was voted <br />of 1963 -Water Main to adapt the following resolution receiving report <br />Extension on West Side and calling hearing on improvement of watermain ex- <br />of Snelling Avenue: tension of 1963 on West side of Snelling Avenues <br />A!
