2117 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF JUNE 10, lg6l~ <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P,M. with the following members being <br />presents Harold Nil sen, Mayor; W, A, Mortenson, Clerks Z`rustees Willis <br />Warkentien, Charles P, Stone and ~ illiam H. Black. Also present ware Village <br />Treasurer Wit7.iam E,Olsen, Attorney Michael Galvin, Engineer Brad Lemberg, <br />and Deputy Clark Tina Vavoulis. <br />Mrs. Harvey Irlen was representative of the League of Women Voters. Mr. Craig <br />Scherfenberg of the Suburban Life Newspaper was present. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Black that the minutes of the meeting of May 27, 196l~ ba <br />approved. Motion carried. <br />Correspondence: <br />Letter of June !t signed by Richard 'L4~r~und, Administrator, <br />Village of Roseville acknowledged receipt of Falcon Heights resolution stating <br />Sanitary Seger Rate that this village will participate in pro3ect study. <br />Study: <br />Ramsey County Weed Letter of June 1 was reminder from Carl Bechar that all <br />Inspectors weeds and grasses on boulevards, roadsides and parks era <br />to be cut by July 1st, 196tc. The second cutting should <br />be completed by September 1st, 196., <br />Bingo Game Permit - Letter from Paul Larson, Director of the St. Paul Student <br />University of Minn.: Canter, requested authority to schedule and conduct a <br />bingo game on October 2, 1961. Stone moved, seconded. <br />by Warkentien that the matter be referred to the Village <br />Attorney for determination as to whether Village has <br />authority to grant permit for bingo. Motion was carried. <br />Ponding Area Drainage: <br />Reverend Wayne Van Kirk and Mr, Thor Lyford, chairman of <br />Barthel Villas the Board of Trustees of the Church ~rere present. Mr. <br />Lyford advised that the church proposes to grads the <br />Falcon Heights area according to specifications of the Village Con- <br />Congragational salting engineer, which are in resolution form in minutes <br />Church of January 9, 19b3. If grading does not produce desired. <br />results, Mr. Lyford advised that dry we11s will be put <br />in. It was understood that grading will maintain an <br />equal or greater volume ponding area until such time as <br />permanent storm facilities are installed. <br />Falcon Heights Church The following resolution was introduced by Black, who <br />Parking Lot: moved its adoption. Motion was seconded by Warkentien. <br />WHEREAS the Falcon Heights Congregational Church <br />received permission from the Falcon Heights Village <br />Council on the 19th day of Jana 1963 for the extension <br />of the existing parking lot on Lot 18 to the nor'.Eharly <br />limits of said lot, and <br />9V'HEREAS request for permit to extend said parking <br />lot further than said Lot 18, has been made, and. <br />tiadHEREAS the Falcon Heights Congregational Church <br />is now prepared to undertake the extension of said <br />parking lot, <br />
