2198 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF JANUARY 13, 1965 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7100 P.~,~, with the following members <br />present: t~fayor Harold C, Nilsen; Clerk Herbert Strandquist; Trustees Willis <br />Warkentien, Charles P. Stone, grid Gilliam H. Black, Also present were Treasurer <br />~~illiam E. Olsen, Engineer Brad Lemberg, and Deputy Clerk Tina Vavoulis, <br />Stone moved, seconded by Black that minutes of the meeting of December 9, 1964 <br />be approved. Carried. <br />1 <br />Stone moved, seconded by Black that minutes of the Canvassing Board Meeting of <br />December 9 be approved, Carried. <br />Nilsen moved, seconded by Black that minutes of the special meeting of December 16, <br />19bt~ be approved. Carried. <br />Black moved, Nilsen seconded that minutes of meeting of December 23, 196l~ be <br />approved. Carried. <br />Trus tee Sworn in: Clerk Strandquist performed the duty of swearing in <br />Charles P. Stone who was re-elected Trustee for a term <br />of three years. <br />Correspondence: <br />League of Women Letter of January 12 from the League of Women Voters <br />Voters: expressed thanks to the village council for making it <br />possible for Engineer Lemberg to speak at their December <br />Unit meeting. <br />Board of County Letter of January 7 from J. Wm. Donovan, Acting Assistant <br />Commmissioners - Land Commissioner of Ramsey County was read. Th® forfeited <br />land mentioned in letter is located in the Village of <br />Forfeited Land: Falcon Heights described as the Crossroads, North 25 feet <br />of E 1l~5 Feet of Lot 2l~. Strandquist moved, Nilsen <br />seconded that the following resolution be adopted: <br />WHER.Ef~S, the Board of County Commissioners of Ramsey <br />County by resolution dated October 19, 196l~, classified <br />as nonconservation land a certain parcel lying within the <br />limits of the Village of Falcon Heights, and <br />~rHEREAS a certified copy of the classification <br />resolution together with a list of the land classified <br />has been submitted for approval of the classification and <br />sale of the land classified in accar~dance with ~tiSA, <br />Section 282.01, Sub. 1, <br />1 <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE TT RESOLVED that the classification <br />of the land shown on said list as noneonservation land <br />and the sale thereof be and hereby is approved; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Village Clerk be and <br />is hereby authorized to file a certified copy of this <br />resolution in the Office of the Land Commissioner. <br />Upon a vote being taken, the above resolution was adopted <br />by the Council this 13th day cf' January 15L~i5. <br />The Clerk was instructed to notify the property owners <br />surrounding the lot in question regarding sale of said lot. <br />
