2238 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF MAY 5, 1965 <br />Pursuant to meeting with Roseville representatives Roger Short, Dick Turnlund, <br />Tom Curley and Norman Goodrich, this special meeting was called to order with <br />the following members presents Nilsen, Strandquist, Stone and Black. Also <br />present was Engineer Lemberg. <br />Stone introduced the following resolution and moved its <br />Northeast Area adoption: <br />Storm Surer Project: <br />Improvement 65 1 WHEREAS, the Village Council of Falcon Heights has <br />requested a preliminary study of the proposed northeast <br />Resolution Ordering area storm sewer project encompassing that part of the <br />Preparation of Village of Falcon Heights bounded by Roselawn Avenue, <br />Report on Proposed Hamline Avenue, Larpenteur Avenue and Snelling Avenue, <br />Northeast Area by the construction of a storm sewer drainage area, and to <br />Storrt~ Sesrrer: assess the benefited property for all or for a portion of <br />the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statute <br />429.011 to 1129.111 (Laws of 1953, Chapter 398 as amended) <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Falcon <br />Heights has received said preliminary report dated April <br />25, 1965 and reviewed the same at a special meeting called <br />for that purpose on May 5, 1965, and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that said report and discussion <br />at said meeting that such a proposed project will require <br />cooperation and coordination with co-existing governmental <br />bodies including Ramsey County and the Village of Roseville, <br />NONT, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Village Council <br />of the Village of Falcon Heightst <br />1. That the proposed improvement be referred to <br />Bonestroo, Rosene and Associates, Village Consulting <br />Engineers, for study and that they are instructed to report <br />to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council <br />in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement <br />is feasible, and as to whether it should best be made as <br />proposed or in connection with some other improvement and <br />the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. <br />2. The Village Consulting Engineers are hereby <br />authorized. and directed to confer and consult with ell <br />governmental bodies with an interest in the proposed <br />drainage area. <br />3. It is understood from the preliminary study dated <br />April 25, 1965 that certain Ramsey County roads and highways. <br />are included within the proposed drai nage area and such <br />preliminary discussions with Ramsey County should be under- <br />taken for the purpose of reaching preliminary understandings <br />with respect to proposed construction, proposed lay-outs and <br />proposed assessment ~ocedures. <br />~.. It is also understood from the preliminary study <br />that the Village of Roseville contemplates a similar project, <br />and such preliminary discussion should be held with said <br />
