2357 <br />MEETING OF April 13, 1966 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7s00 P.M. with the following members <br />pres®nts Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Trustees Stone, Black and Warkentien. <br />Also present were Engineer Lemberg, Treasurer Olsen and Attorney Galvin. <br />Minutest Warkentien moved, seconded by Black that the minutes <br />of the meeting of March 2?~, 1966 be approved. Motion <br />carried. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that the minutes <br />of the special meeting of March 3D, 1966 be approved. <br />Motion carried. <br />Correspondence <br />Mayor Nilsen advised he had received letter from <br />Postmasters Postmaster which commended the pillage of Falcon <br />Heights for the fine fob of plowing streets after <br />each snow fall this past winter. <br />Augsburg College Mayor Nilsen received invitation to attend event leadin <br />Centennial in 1969s up to observance of Augsburg College's Centennial in 19. <br />Congressman Clark Communication from the Republican Planning and Research <br />MacGregor -Headings Com~-ittee - Task Forc® on Hrban Suburban Affairs, <br />Metropolitan Transit announced Congressional Hearings on Metropolitan Transit <br />and Air & Water and Metropolitan Air and Water Pollution on April 16, <br />Pollutions 1966. Congressman Clark MacGregor of Minnesota's Third <br />District, Chairman of th® House Republican Conference <br />Task Force on Urban-Suburban Affairs, will conduct <br />hearings. <br />Metropolitan Planning <br />Commission ~`l.ection <br />of Representativ®ss <br />NerPS Coverage <br />KSTP: <br />Letter from the Metropolitan Planning Commission regarding <br />$pril 23rd m®eting at the University of Mirniesota Coffman <br />Union for the purpose of e1 acting representatives was <br />referred to Black. <br />Istter has been received from Station KSTP regarding <br />news coverag® and ways and means that KSTP is able to <br />assist in time of emergencies. <br />Douglas Rees -Falcon I~ttsr dated April 12 from Douglas Rees with regard to <br />Development Corp. - parking areas for businesses on the northeast corner <br />Parking Faci].itiess of intersection of I.arpenteur and Snelling Avenues was <br />revietred. <br />Trews After discussion regarding replacement of trees that <br />have been removed upon recomm®ndation of village tree <br />consultant, it was deemed in the best interests of the <br />Village of Falcon Heights to treat each case iAdividually. <br />Replacements Stone moved, seconded by Warkentien that Ken @uarn be <br />1l~78 West Idahot authorized to obtain and plant tree on the aoulevard <br />in front of residence at 1l~78 W. Idaho to replace a <br />tre® that was removed. Ayers All. Nayss None. <br />Motion was carried. <br />
