2361 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF APRIL 27, 1966 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M, with the follv9ring members present: <br />Mayor Nilsen, Clerk 3trandquist, Trustees Stone, Black and Warkentien. Alsm <br />present were Treasurer Olsen, Attorney Galvin. Absents Engineer Lomberg. <br />Stone moved, seconded by Black that the minutes of the special meeting of April !~, <br />1966 be approved. Motion carried. <br />Black moved, seconded by Stone that the minutes of the regular meeting of April 13, <br />1966 be approved. Motion carried. <br />Mrs. Bobbe Nolan represented the League of Women Voters. <br />Correspondences <br />N, E. Storm Server Letter from Attorney Galvin under date of April 27 <br />Improvement 65-1 enclosed certificate of insurance for workmen's compen- <br />(66-.1)s cation and also liability for Harold Wellman dba Commercial <br />Cartage Company. Attorney has reviewed certificate and <br />finds that it complies with they requirements of agreement. <br />N. E, Storm Sewer Copy of letter dated April 25, 1966 addressed to Bonestroo, <br />Imp. 65 ~ (66-1) Rosene, Anderlik and Associates stated that Board of <br />Approval of Board County Commissioners has approved request in behalf of <br />of County Commissionerss Village for permission to construct N, E, Area Storm <br />Sewer Project in the rights-of~ay of county roads. Sama <br />was signed by Deane R. Anklan, County Engineer. <br />Joint Agreements Letter signed by Deane R. Anklan, Count~- Engineer dated <br />April 1l~, 1966 enclosed copy of resolution and agreement <br />between Ramsey County, Falcon Heights and Roseville for <br />point storm sewer improvements. <br />Safety Belt Campaigns State Aid Memorandum No. 66-16 dated April 18, 1966 to <br />County Highway Engineers and Municipal Engineers stated <br />that campaign to promote the use of safety belts in <br />automobiles began on April 15 and will extend through <br />May 31, 1966. <br />Lost and Abandoned Black moved that i.n the absence of an express ordinance <br />Property found within of the Village of Falcon Heights permitting the advertise- <br />the Village of Falcon merit of sale and the sale of lost or stolen property, and <br />Heights in view of the difficulty that would arise with municipal <br />officers and agents claiming title to such property after <br />a period of abandonment through their right of finding <br />the same, that the two bicycles abandoned and in custos~* <br />of the Village for a period of two years, be turned over <br />to a suitable agency or public charity. Motion was <br />sec®nded by Warkentien and upon a vote being taken, the <br />motion was carried. <br />Weed Inspector Mayor Nilsen appointed Kenneth F, Quarn as Weed Inspector <br />Appointeds for the Village of Falcon Heights for the remainder of the <br />year 1966, with stipulation that said weed inspector shall <br />be compensated for same. <br />Annual Weed and Seed Official notice dated April 25, 1966 for Weed and Seed <br />Conferenc®t Conference called for 7:30 P.M. May !~, 1966 at the County <br />Agent's Office was read. Nilsen moved that Kenneth Quarn be <br />authorized ~ attend this conference. Seconded by Strandquist <br />and carried. <br />
