2369 <br />REGULAR MEETING OF MAY 11, 1966 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following members presents <br />Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Trustees Warkentien, Stone and Black. Also <br />present were Engineer Lemberg, Treasurer Olsen and Attorney Galvin. <br />Mrs. Bobbe Nolan represented the League of Women Voters. <br />Minutes .Black moved, seconded by Stone that minutes of the meeting <br />of April 27 be approved. Motion was carried. <br />Correspondence: Dr. Ausman's report on physical condition of police officer <br />Physical Examina- Howard Jensen dated April 29, 1966 stated that examination <br />tion ~ioward R, found Jensen to be in good health and free of communicable <br />Jensen disease. <br />Reciprocal Fire Mutual Service Company's communication dated May 4, 1966 <br />Service Agreement: stated that insurance company would charge a per call rate <br />of ffi16.80 for bodily in3ury and $8.39 for;:property damage <br />which would apply each time the Village of Falcon Heights <br />calls for help from one of the member fire departments. <br />Attorney Galvin was requested to contact Agent Schadegg <br />regarding such insurance. <br />League of Minnesota Orville C. Peterson, Executive Secretary of the League <br />Municipalities of Minnesota Municipalities welcomed Mayor and Council <br />Convention: to 52nd Armual Convention of the League to be held at the <br />Kahler Hotel in Rochester on June 15 to 17, 1966. <br />Water Pollution Communication from the Water Pollution Control Commission, <br />Control Commissions state of Minnesota dated May 6, 1966 was reviewed. <br />Metropolitan Transit Council reviewed copy of Joint and Cooperative Agreement <br />Commission: Establishing Metropolitan Transit Commission, and sample <br />resolution which accompanied Memorandum from the Ramsey <br />County League of Municipalities dated April 26, 1966. <br />Maintenance Departaaent Kenneth Quarn, maintenance department, was present for regular <br />Reports report to the Council. After discussion, Warkentien moved, <br />seconded by Strandquist that the West Falcon Heights Playground <br />Nest Falcon Heights Association be notified that the council authorizes it to hire <br />Playground -Grass a youth at X1.25 an hour for mowing grass in that area for the <br />Moorings coming season. Gas purchases for mowing shall be paid by the <br />Village, Ayes: A1.1. Nays: None. Mot3.on was carried. <br />Weed Killer: Nilsen moved, seconded by Strandquist that Quarn be authorized <br />to purchase w®ed killer to apply where needed around fence at <br />the Idaho-Snell3.ng Playground. <br />Complaints and Non- After discussion, council decided that all calls which are <br />Emergency Callas complaints from citizens and received by the Fire Department <br />(non-emergency} must be referred to the Village Clerk's <br />office for disposition. <br />Preparation of Report The following resolution was introduced by Stone, who moved <br />and Public Hearing on its adoptions <br />Improvement 66-1 <br />N.E.
