y 21.11.7 <br />REGULAR ~~~EETING OF AUGUST 10, 1966 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. with the following <br />members present: Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Trustees j~arkentien <br />and Stone. Absents Trustee Blaek. Also present were Treasurer Olsen, <br />Attorney Galvin and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Minutest Stone moved, seconded by a~~arkentien that the minutes <br /> of the regular meeting of July 27, 1966 be approved, <br /> Motion was carried. <br /> Warkentien moved, seconded by Strandquist that the <br /> minutes of the special meeting of August 3, 1966 be <br /> approved. It~otion was carried. <br />Summer Recreation Dick DeSchriver, sinner recreation program director, <br />Program -Summary by submitted report and reviewed with the council his <br />Directors recommendations for 1967, The program terminated this <br /> year on August 5th. Included in the report was the 1966 <br /> inventory and a list of volunteer assistants. <br />Al Helbig, Fire Fire Chief Al Helbig was present to submit regular <br />Chief - Report: report dated August 10, 1966. <br />Fire Department Stone moved, seconded by ~iarkentien that Fire Department <br />Purchase Requisi- be authorized to purchase two 10 lb. Motion <br /> was carried. <br />Light Plants Helbig advised that one of the light plants on afire <br /> truck is not repairable and should be replaced. H® stated <br /> that in all probability, funds received for standing by <br /> on the Fair Grounds during State Fair Week will be used <br /> toward purchase of light plant. <br />N.L. Hermes and rgr. '~illiam T. Tripp from Tripp Detective and Patrol <br />State Fair Car Washs Service was present along with Mr. and Pers. Hermes. <br />After discussion Stone moved, seconded by ti~arkentien <br />that the following resolution be adopteds <br />VdHEREAS, the State Fair Car Wash has made application <br />to the Village Council of Falcon Heights for a gasoline <br />filling station license pursuant to the provisions of <br />Ordinance No. 27, said license to be effective July 1, <br />1966:; and <br />i~dHEREAS, said license has not been issued by the <br />Village Council because previous conditions and <br />restrictions imposed upon said licensee have not been <br />met because of difficulties in operation of said premises <br />that have arisen during the past year, and <br />WHER~:AS, at the request of said council the <br />representatives of licensee have appeared before the <br />
