2551 <br />Regular Meeting of Ntay 11, 1967 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M, with the following members <br />present: Mayor Nilsen, Clerk ~trandquist, Councilman Black and Warkentien. <br />Absent= Councilman Stone. Also present were Treasurer Olsen, Engineer <br />Lemberg and Attorney Kyle. <br />Minutes Warkentien moved that minutes of regular meeting of <br /> April 27, 1967 be corrected to reflect his reason for <br /> voting for approval of resolution regarding salary <br /> increases. He voted affirmatively only because it was <br /> understood that approval of salary increases for the years <br /> 196~1and 196$ shall in no way guarantee any positions now <br /> held. Black then moved, seconded by 5trandquist that <br /> minutes. of April 27, 19b7 be approved with correction <br /> above. llyes: A11. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Correspondence: <br />Roberts Apartment Letter under date of April 27 from Roberts Construction <br />Landscaping: Company stated. that plans to proceed with screen planting <br />and Garage scheme at 18l~5-55 West Larpenteur Avenue will proceed in <br />Layouts approximately three weeks. This should include the garage <br /> layout as proposed. <br />Recreations <br />Evaluation of Mrs. Darleen Aamodt, class director of figure skating this <br />r <br />Skating Lessons: past <br />winter at the Idaho=Snelling Playground area, submitted <br /> an evaluation of the program, which will be placed on file <br /> in the clerkts office. <br />Tape Recorder: Warkentien moved, seconded. by Black that the maintenance <br /> department, under the direction of the village consulting <br /> engineer, arrange before next skating season, to construct <br /> an adequate receptacle in which to place the tape recorder <br /> at the Idaho-,Snelling Playground. Further that the village <br /> clerk be authorized to arrange for servicing of the tape <br /> recorder. Ayes All. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Back Stop Warkentien stated that the back stop has been installed at <br />Installed: the Idaho--Snelling Playground and a snow fence has been <br />placed around the pond. _ <br />Summer Recreat~.on Warkentien has scheduled a meeting with the Recreation <br />Program: Program Director, Dick DeSchriver, to rho aver the 1967 <br />program.. DeSchriver will attend next meeting of the council. <br />HEARINGS <br />Faison Heights <br />Congregational <br />Church ~Re- <br />assessment for <br />Sanitary Sewer <br />Imp. 195? and <br />WaterMain Imp. <br />1960 No. 1: <br />Pursuant to due call and notice, the public hearing to <br />consider the Supplemental Assessment of Block 1, Barthel <br />Vi7.las Addition for Water Main Improvement of 1960 No. 1 <br />and Reassessing Lots ll~, 15, 20, and 21, Block 1, Barthel <br />Villas Addition for Sanitary Sewer System Improvem®nt 195?, <br />was called to order at 8700 P.M. Clerk-read Notice of <br />Public Hearing. Roger Short and Ray Hardy represented the <br />Falcon Heights Congregational Church.. <br />Roger Short stated that if the church uses the lots for <br />parking, there would be no benefit derived from the <br />
