2559 <br />REGULAR R+lEETING OF MAY 25,, 1.967 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7x00 P.M. with -Ehe following <br />members presents Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilmen Stoney Black <br />and Warkentien. Also present-.were Engineer Lemberg and Treasurer Olsen. <br />Minutest Strandquist moved, seconded by Nilsen that the minutes of <br />the meeting of 'May 11~ 1967 be approved. Agest AL1.. Naysa <br />None. Motion was carried. <br />Correspondences <br />Iowa National Letter dated May 19, 1967 from Iowa National Mutual Insuran ce <br />Mutual Ins. Company regarding final notice from St. Lukens Hospital as <br />-Res Owen addressed to Owen Harmer, stated that the physical therapy <br />Harmer Accidents for Harmers back injury is something The Iowa National <br />should assume' but objection to paying for treatment of <br />pneumonia is raised. Clerk was instructed to send copy <br />of said letter to the hospital. <br />Bethel College Letter from Bethel College was received and is in answer <br />Apartment Hl.dg.= to C1erk~s letter regarding barrier behind the apartment <br />at 1tG66 West Larpenteur Avenue. <br />Moving of Cross- ~Strandquist moved seconded by Black that authorization be <br />Walk Flasher on given the Collins Electrical Construction Company to move <br />Larpenteur Ave.s two wood poles and two flashing amber lights from the present <br />location (crosswalk at 15l~8 W. Larpenteur Avenue) to new <br />location just west of the village hall (1670 Sd. Larpenteur <br />Avenue) at a project cost for the completed job o~ X535.00. <br />Ayes= ...All. Naysa None. Motion was carried. <br />Claim for Damage William K. Schultz, D.D.S. submitted bill from Hewins <br />by Snow Plow Greenhouses for replacement of sod and taro pine. trees <br />W.K. Schultz damaged by snow plow last winter. Clerk was instructed to <br />1630 Hollywood write Dr. Schultz that the Village of Falcon Heights has no <br />Courts liability in this claim inasmuch as the Village has never dir- <br />ected nor authorized Ramsey County to plow arty alleys in the <br />Village. <br />Summer Recreation Dick DeSchriver, summer°recreation program dixector~ was <br />Programs present. After discussion, Warkentien moved, seconded by <br />Black that the Village Council authorize an expenditure of <br />X2,250.00 for the 1967 Summer Recreation Program. Included <br />in said sum_are X1900 for salaries of two full time men and <br />one young lady 1/2 time, also X350.00 for supplies. Program <br />shall be conducted for eight weeks from June 12 to August ~. <br />at the Falcon Heights Elementary School and the West Falcon <br />Woods Playgrounds daily from 10x30 a.m. to l~t00 p.m. Ayes; <br />All. Naysa None. Motion was carried. <br />Northeast Water Attorney Kyles letter of h+Iay 18, 1967 enclosed copy of <br />Ruin Improvement Easement from. Nicholas J. Pothen granting perpetual easement <br />1:967 Pothen _ for construction, maintenance and operation of watermain over, <br />Easement: upon, across and under tract of land as described in said <br />easement. <br />
