REGULAR MEETING OF JUNE 8, 1967 <br />2563 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M, with the following members present: <br />Mayor Nilsen, Councilmen Stone, Black and W arkentien. Absent: Clerk Strandquist• <br />Also present were Treasurer Olsen, Attorney Kyle and Engineer Lemberg. <br />Mrs. Adam Ackerman and Mrs. Arvie Ackerman were present and stated their views <br />on dust conditions in Hollywood Court created by trucks and work being done <br />on the Fair Grounds. <br />r~2inutes: Stone moved, seconded by Black that the minutes of the <br />meeting of May 25, 1967 ~e approved. Ayes: All. Nays: <br />None. Motion was carried. <br />Correspondence: Letter from Governor LeVander addressed to Mayor Nilsen <br />was request for names of persons who would be willing and <br />Metropolitan quali:i'i-.e d to serve on the newly created Metropolitan Council. <br />Councils <br />Notice was received of the First Annual Meeting of the <br />League of Minn. Metropolitan Section of the League of Minnesota Municipali- <br />Municipalities: ties which is to be held on June 29, 1967. <br />Weed Notice Warkentien moved that Mayor Nilsen and Clerk Strandquist <br />Publication: be authorized to sign statement stating this Village will <br />pay its proportionate share of weed notice publications for <br />the year 1967. Seconded by Black and carried. <br />Police Commissioner Donald Arndt, Police Commissioner, was present and reviewed <br />Reports: law enforcement activities. <br />Agreement with Stone moved, seconded by Black that the Agreement between <br />Teamster's Union: the Teamster's Union and the Village of Falcon Heights as <br />drawn up and presented to the coundil be amended in part a~ <br />follows: <br />(a) Paragraph (C) on page 2, the words 'see addendum' should <br /> be stricken and the following inserted thereof: <br /> (C) Administrative Department: <br /> 1. Assistant Deputy Clerk-Treasurers <br /> (a) 7_La.2 work week with the hours of employment <br /> to be fixed by the village council. <br /> 2. Deputy Clerk-Treasurer: <br /> (a) A ~.0 hour work week with the hours of <br /> employment to be fined by the village <br /> council. <br /> (b) The last paragraph of page 2 shall be changed to provide <br /> that fire fighter on duty from 8:00 a. m. of any holiday to th <br />following morning at 8:00 a. m. shall be afforded holiday pay <br /> at twice the hourly rate for the twenty-four hours. Fire <br /> Fighters off duty on holidays shall receive no extra compen- <br /> sation for such holidays. <br />(c) Amend Section C on page 2 by striking the words 'payment <br />from' and inserting the words 'use of'. <br />
