2569 <br />I~ieeting of June 22, 1967 <br />The regular meeting was called to order at 7:00 P.M. vr:ith the following members <br />present: Mayor Nilsen, Clerk Strandquist, Councilman Stone. Absent: Councilmen <br />Black and Warkentien. Also present were Attorney Kyle, Treasurer Olsen, and <br />Engineer Lemberg. <br />Minutesa Stone moved, seconded by Nilsen that the minutes of the <br />regular meeting of June 8, 1967 be approved as corrected. <br />Ayes: A11. Nays: None. Motion was carried. <br />Correspondences <br />W. K. Schultz Letter dated June 13, 1967 from William K. Schultz, D.a.S. <br />1630 Hollywood Court stated he withdraws all claims for any damage incurred. <br />Snow Plow Damages by the snowplows to his property during the winter of <br />1966-67. <br />Jay Blank Realty Letter of June 15, ].967 from Jay Blank, Realtor, inquired <br />1708 N. Spellings as to whether or not council would consider rezoning a <br />resident home on Larpenteur Avenue, between Snelling and <br />Hamline Avenues for an office facility. Clerk wi]1 advise <br />Mr. Blank to get approval by petition of residents within <br />300 feet of property. <br />1 <br />Hydrant Enamel Letter from Waterous Company was concerning hydrant enamel <br />Paints paint that glows at night. Council agreed that maintenance <br />department should purchase same for use on all hydrants. <br />Pruning of Trees Letter of June 8, 1967 stated in part that pruning of trees <br />Highway Department:.. on Highway Department Right-of-~~ay is done in the winter <br />time.. Permission was given to this village to do work if <br />notification is sent to Highway Department prior to arty <br />operation. <br />State of Minnesota Letter dated June 16, 1967 from F. L. Woodward, Director, <br />Department of Division of Environmental Health was regarding plans and <br />Health -Mater Main specifications on water main extensions, which plans <br />Extensions Proj. 67-1s have been turned over to Water Pollution Control <br />Section for examination. <br />Department of Letter dated June 12 from John R. Jamieson, Commissioner of <br />Highways -Traffic Highways, enclosed brochure which illustrates T~'d.nnesota <br />Needs: Highway traffic needs and their attempts to meet these needs. <br />Street Improvement <br />Project 67-3 - <br />Arona Avenue Constr., <br />Sheldon Street <br />Construction, Hoyt <br />Avenue Curb and <br />Gutter and Sidewalks <br />Bidss <br />Strandquist introduced the following resolution and moved <br />its adoptions <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the <br />Street Improvement Project 3-67 consisting of Arona Avenue <br />Constructions Northeast Sanitary Sewer and WaterMain Project <br />Street Repair and the Hoyt Avenue Curb and Gutter and <br />Sidewalk Project, bids-were. received and opened on June 21, <br />-1967, tabulated according to law, and the follo~ring bids <br />were received complying with the advertisements <br />
