<br />Coppini, Trustee; VVm. R. Utecht, Clerk. Hlso present were Frank N.
<br />Graham, Village Attorney; Nick Christensen, Bldg. Insp.; Vern Ljungren,
<br />Village Engineer; bUm. ~. Olsen, Treasurer and Ethel E. 'J'~hite, Deputy
<br />Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absent: tiJillis '+Jarkentien, Trustee.
<br />The P~4inutes of the special meeting of July 24th were approved as submitted.
<br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of July 31st were approved as submitted.
<br />The I:ginutes of the special meeting o'' Au€rust 4th were approved as submitted.
<br />Sinking Letter of August 1st from the First National Bank regarding re-
<br />Fund investment of the proceeds of X50,000.00 of ~.~ Certificates of
<br />Indebtedriess~ was read. Check in the amount of X2,173.34 which
<br />includes the difference in price and the interest due on August
<br />1st was enclosed. Treasurer was instructed to deposit check in
<br />sinking fund account.
<br />On Sale It was moved by Coppini, seconded by Shavor and unanimously
<br />Beer voted that the following beer licenses be granted to the State

<br />Bills Letter from Harry P, rrunson, County Engineer, stating that he
<br />Street felt the charge of X42.50 for sprinkling Arona was rightfully ours
<br />ti~iork because the City of St. Paul had finished their work ten days
<br />previously; and that he did not feel the charge of X49.42 for
<br />painting the barricade at Iowa was excessive, was turned over to
<br />Vern Ljungren who vras asked tocontact the County to ascertain
<br />just what the work on this barricade included.
<br />Fire Letter from drillis u'rarkentien regarding this matter and stating
<br />Dept. he was in hopes that all that will be necessary to bring this
<br />hrlutual cooperative venture about will be a permissive resolution
<br />Aid authorizing our department to render emergency or standby assistance
