Shavor9 Trustee; Willis tiarkentien, <br />Trustee,.Paul Copnini, Trustee and '~'.'m. R. Utecht, Clerk. Also present were <br />~~~ Frank N. Graham, Village At+.orney; Vtm. E. Olsen, Treasurer and Ethel E. Vthitet <br />Deputy Clerk and .Deputy Treasurer. ' <br />The P~Iirutes of the regular meeting of December 29th were approved as corrected. <br />Page 1346, list paragraph,, second sentence changed to read: '"Nilsen said he <br />didn't think peox~le should go to the .limit of the law.^ <br />License: All requirements having been met, it was voted by Coppini, seconded <br />by Nilsen and unanimously voted to issue "?.ASTER PLU`~BERS LICENSE #42 <br />to George B. Vdaterman, 1491 No. Namline, St. Paul, 13, ~:?inna <br />Photo~rap]g~ Letter regarding complaints on business r~ractices of photographer's <br />ex's Studio Studio loca.t.ed a+„ 1365 Iowa was read. it was moved by Utecht, <br />seconded by Nilsen and unanimously voted to refer the matter to <br />At+orney Graham. <br />Visitor Carl N2cholas~ 1?75 St. '•~Zary's, student iri the Vtorld Affairs Class <br />at Axexander Ramsey High•School was presento <br />Police Dog Officer Johnson reported that, the Falcon Heights Commercial Club <br />has donated a 9 month old, pedigreed, German Shepard Dog to the <br />Village of Falcon Heights. This dog is being trained and will be <br />used in connection with Police patrol work. <br />tttecht moved that Officer Johnson be raid X25.00 per month for all <br />car+~.trainir_g and expense in connection with keeping, training and <br />hoarding the Village of Falcon Heights police Dog named '"Count". <br />Seconded by ~"tarkentien and unanimously carried, <br /> The Deputy Clerk was instructed to contact the insurance company <br /> and advise them that we had acquired the dog and planned to use him <br /> in connection with police vrork. <br />Police Officer Johnsen advised he would be attending special classes at the <br />School. University of rlinnesota January 18, 19 and 20th. He eras told to sub•- <br /> m_it his bill for the tuition plus exnences. <br />Mater Tie Anderson Dowdell petition requesting that water be run up Fairview <br />Anderson to serve their property was discussed. It vras moved by Utecht <br />seconded <br />Petition , <br />by Shavor and unanimously voted to refer t;he mataer to Ljungren for his <br />• ox~inion as to whither or not it is feasible as proposed or whether it <br /> should be done with some other r~roject. <br />Li±ter Conz~ini introduced Dexter C. Giroux, of t4~e National Litter Control and <br />Containers Street Corner Ads, Inc. ~.~'r. Giroux showed the Council their container <br /> and quoted a price of ~56.~.0 each in lots of 7 to 9. '~Tr. Giroux <br /> stated containers are rustproof and that they carried insurance cover- <br /> ing damage to same. Robert Johnson, who was present, said he thought <br /> the Business "7en's Commercial Club would be'wi~ling to buy the containers <br /> if the Village would contract to have them emptied.
