1671 <br />REGULAR '~~ETING 1?/1?~/61 <br />~:geeting was called to order at 7;00 P. A?., the following Council ?:Rembers being <br />present: Harold C. Nilsen, r2ayor; George J. Shaver, Trustee; Vdillis b~~arkentien, <br />Trustee; C. P. Stone, 'T'rustee; VII. A. ^~ortenson, Clerk. Also present were '.+~2. J. <br />Galvin, Village Attorney; Brad. Lemberg, Village Engineer; V`dm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; <br />Ethel E. i°dhite, Deputy Clerk and deputy Treasurer. <br />The '.~inutes of the special meeting of November 30th, 1961 were anuroved as <br />submitted. <br />Road & Letter from the Board of Ramsey County Commissioners, dated December <br />Bridge 12th, stated they had authorized an apportionment of ?T;2,109.95 in <br />the County's Road and fridge Fund to .Falcon Heights for the con- <br />struction and maintenance of streets, roads and bridges. <br />Bus Notice from the Railroad and ti~~arehouse Commission advising that the <br />Service hearing they had set for December 19th, 1961 would be continued to a <br />later date and that notice of such continued date will be given to <br />all parties of interest, was read. The Deputy Clerk was instructed <br />to ascertain how the change requested by the T. C. ~4otor Bus Company <br />would affect Village Service. <br />Truck It was agreed to accept the offer of Farmer's Union Grain 'germinal <br />Association to store the Village Truck in their garage for the <br />months of December through Play for the sum of $10.00 per month and <br />to send. them a check for the 6 months rental. <br />":2unicinal Treasurer Olsen reported receipt of a check in the amount of 4~361t.88 <br />State from the Minnesota Department of Highways as a final settlement of <br />Aid Falcon Heights 1961 allotment for construction. <br />Our records show: <br />Apportionment Receipts <br />Construction 16 ,, 2 09.00 15, 8l~t~.12 <br />36~..8a <br />1 ,209.00 <br />P:?aintenanc e 3 , 0J~5.00 1, K22.50 <br />1,218.00 <br />2,7 0.,0 <br />which leaves a difference of ~30l~.50 still due on maintenance. <br />Parks & Citizen's inquiry as to whether the Village would flood the empty <br />Playgrounds lots at Pascal and Lar*~enteur was read and referred to Trustee <br />Warkentien. <br />Snow Warkentien moved that Donald Merkel be engaged at ro5.00 per hour <br />Plowing for man and jeep to do the necessary plowing at the Village Parking <br />Lot, Skating Rinks and Driveways, and what other plowing may be <br />deemed advisable and requested by the Council. Seconded by Mortensen <br />and carried. <br />
