1760 <br />REGULAR MEETING MAY 23, 1962. <br />Meeting was called to order at 7;10 P. M., the following Council Members being <br />Aresent: George J. Shaver, Acting Mayor; Willis ~"~arkentien, Trustee; Charles <br />P. Stone, Trustee; W. A. Mortensen, Clerk. Also present were M. J. Galvin, <br />Village Attorney; Brad Lemberg, Village Engineer; Vdm. E. Olsen, Treasurer; and <br />Ethel E. White, Deputy Clerk and Deputy Treasurer. Absents Harold C. Nilsen, <br />"Mayor. <br />Tress: Report of tree damage by Roy Smith, 1765 No. Arena was referred <br />to Engineer Lemberg. <br />Parks and Notice of the meeting to discuss parks and. playgrounds, to be <br />Playgrounds: held at the New Brighton Village Hall rMay 2!~ at 8 P. hM., was <br />read. No one on the Council was free to attend. <br />Ramsey County Shavor moved that ~1. A. Mortensen be named Falcon Heights' <br />League of Official Representative to the Standing Legislative Committee <br />??unicinalities: of the Ramsey County League of Municipalities. Seconded by <br />Stone and carried. <br />Cross walk: James Corson, 1697 No. Fry, appeared to call attention to the <br /> fact that the cross walk was not kept up in accordance to <br /> state standards. The matter was referred to Engineer Lemberg <br /> who is presently studying it in connection with a traffic elan <br /> for the business section at Larrenteur and Snelling. <br />Special Hear- The s:~ecial hearing was called to order at 8 P. i~~i. There were <br />ing, Land L'se about !t0 peonle present. <br />Study: <br /> Shavor advised that the Council had taken no further action and <br /> were pre-disposed to terminate the hearing. <br /> Vlarkentien moved that the hearing be terminated without action <br /> by the Council on the Street Use ?'lan. Seconded by Mortensen <br /> and carried. <br />J. 'iacGregor: ~!Tha.t is the difference between the Land Use Plan and Street <br /> Use Plan? <br />Galvin: The Land Use Plan is an over-all plan for the entire Village <br /> which includes not only the area under discussion at this time <br /> but the entire Village. 3efore the hearing, it was the inten- <br /> tion to file the Street Use Plan with the Registrar of Deeds <br /> so it became a part of the Public Record. The Land Use Plan is <br /> not filed with anyone except the Village. <br />Shavers The Public Haring on the Street Use Plan is hereby terminated. <br />L. Disanto: ?My lot is the one shown as Hart of the cross street and divided <br /> into small lots on the Street Use Plan. Mill I be able to <br /> <br />Shavor: build on that now? <br />There has been a "hold" on your lot, but with the Street Use <br /> Plan completely aban~?oned, I can see no reason for continuing <br /> the "hold:. Vie will give you official notice later. <br />
